I downloaded the app, repeatedly on logging in the same error message of due to technical issues please try again later. Thirty minutes later same error message, a disappointing start with the app.

This app would be okay if there was more functionality. It in reality is just there so Mini/BMW can say they have a ‘great’ app. It tells you very little and is unreliable. It can’t even retain the personal background as in the union flag look. It just keeps disappearing. Log in is supposed to be with fingerprint ID but every time I have to do it manually and it also fails to save the PIN code and asks me to set up every log in. I have removed it out of frustration.

Not sure what’s happened but the charge in time slot, which is essential for taking advantage of low overnight rates, no longer works, it starts charging straight away, a real problem and puts me off changing for another Mini when the time comes.

Every time there is an app update why do we have to enter our details again, then have to set a pin again….??

I’ve had my Mini Countryman U25 (JCW All-4 petrol, level 3) since June. The app, for what it does is great and I’m really pleased with its functionality. What I’m not impressed by is that it doesn’t always record all of my trips. For example, the last time it thinks I used my car was 4 days ago. Since then I’ve done a few long journeys and it’s now updated the monthly stats report for November but it’s understated my mileage and fuel usage so what’s the point of that? All other connections via the app to my car (status, vehicle location etc) are okay, just not all of the trips I’ve made in it.

Can’t seem to get rid of the vehicle inspection due notification despite the inspection being completed by a Mini dealership. Notification has gone from the vehicle itself and now shows 11/25 for the next one but the app still says it needs scheduling. Can you help please? CW.

The departure time keeps changing on its own. Sometimes it ok for 3 days, other days it resets to a bizarre time almost instantly. On a frosty morning I cannot be sure it will be pre-heated. Also it doesn’t seem happy with Octopus’s approach to off peak charging. It keeps flagging a concern over the off and on approach
