Lack of basic information how long the trial version lasts. Expensive for that sample app.
In short, lack of information, expensive, replaceable.

I have looked at many notetaking applications over the years - journals, diaries, and what not - and have been most often overwhelmed by options. I just wanted a simple journal like I might take off of my bookshelf, open up, and begin writing in with a pen. I have been writing in this journal every day for the past week and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a simple journal to keep your thoughts in every day. I like its editing tools as well. If there is one feature, I would add, it would be a preference setting allowing me to choose a tool that would toggle with the Apple Pencil when I double tapped.
I’m using my iPad and can’t find a way to erase my entries nor mistakes.
I love this app, even paid the $9 for it. Love the fact that when you write, there’s endless of "paper". Easy to navigate and access notes. It is, what it says it is, a minimalist journal. I just wished there was a color wheel other than just, black or gray and a yellow highlighter.
I like this app that I use since I purchased it. I would just prefer if I could sync it with iCloud to be able to recover my journal in case I change ( or lose) my iPad. I don’t know if this would go against the minimalist concept of the app. But having the option to zoom in/out and choosing a different type of pen ( pencil, pen, fountain pen) will be so appreciated. Double tapping by finger to undo would be awesome as well. But still. Great app :)
I love, love, love this app. I have been searching for a journaling app that would allow me to write my thoughts and feelings in my own handwriting. I feel like being able to journal in your handwriting makes the journaling experience a whole lot personable as opposed to other journaling apps that only give the option to type. The minimalist style of the app also makes the app awesome! Thank you developer, for thinking of people like me when making the app.
I have started to use it as my main journal.
If you’re trying to emulate the feeling of writing in a normal journal, no bells or whistles, this is the app! I always felt that some of the other journaling apps were too over the top. I just need a place to jot my thoughts down and this app does exactly that and adds a sleek look to it too. It also allows for extra security with a Face ID lock feature! Only down side it that the double tap on the Apple Pencil isn’t supported to toggle between different tools but I’m sure it will eventually get there.
This is all I needed to start journal again. Minimal convoluted features. Just WRITE! A search feature cool be a useful tool to find specific details in entries as well. Great, thoughtful design and great work!
I’m a photographer as well as a sailor and I to compartmentalize my journaling into 3 apps. One for my ship logbook, one with gps for photography, and a handwritten diary just for my feelings. I have been using a paper notebook for the latter, but this app may be what I’ve been looking for! I would ask for two small changes before buying the full version: 1) Pinch Zoom functionality similar to Goodnotes. I have nerve damage in my hand and find writing without the ability to move the page with my non-writing hand uncomfortable. 2) A separate undo button in the toolbar, instead of in the menu, ideally near the top for left thumb use. Toolbar customization would be welcome as well. Otherwise, keep up the goos work!
