Mira Fertility & Cycle Tracker

In the middle of the third month, the device stopped working properly. It was replaced but I missed an entire cycle and wasted almost 30 total wands in the interim. When the unit is working, half of the wands give error messages causing you to either skip that day or use another very expensive wand to retest. The Mira has missed LH surges while inexpensive and easily obtained Clear Blue wands picked it up. I took the first test in September of 2024. Not a single cycle has passed without faulty and wasted retest wands or a faulty reader. Basically, I feel as if I paid a company $961.29 to scam me, frustrate me, and collect my data.

The app continuously claims my Bluetooth is off and will not connect to my analyzer. Too expensive to be unusable

I’ve used Mira products for years, investing thousands into their system, and I’m beyond frustrated with the ongoing issues and dismissive responses from customer service. The main problem? A faulty Mira monitor that repeatedly wastes expensive test wands ($90 per box of 20). The monitor frequently malfunctions: it starts counting down, stops midway, and fails to test. This issue has caused me to lose at least 20 wands, totaling nearly $100 in wasted supplies. Mira’s “solution” was insulting: a $30 gift card, which doesn’t even begin to cover the loss, let alone the time and stress of dealing with a malfunctioning device. Despite following their suggestions (resetting the monitor, reinserting the pin, and wasting even more wands to “test”), the problem persists. Worse, their emails repeatedly blame the wands instead of addressing the obvious issue with the monitor itself. I provided detailed descriptions and even a video, yet their resolution was to offer token credits instead of replacing the defective unit. To add insult to injury, Mira support has been slow to respond and dismissive in their communication. I’ve had to send multiple emails to get answers, only to receive scripted, unhelpful responses that didn’t resolve the issue. They’ve made it clear they prioritize damage control over genuinely addressing customer concerns. Mira’s products are expensive, and users expect reliability and excellent support. What I’ve received is a malfunctioning device, wasted time and money, and poor customer service. I don’t want a credit—I want a system that works, and for Mira to take responsibility for their faulty product. At this point, I’ve lost faith in Mira’s ability to provide a functioning product or support their customers. If you’re considering purchasing their system, beware: if something goes wrong, you’ll be left paying the price, literally and figuratively. The Mira Max starter kit which come with the Max wands, claim to be able to read three hormones, EG3, PdG, and LH. This is either false or I got an entire batch of faulty wands. The wands are only reading EG3 which out of the three that it is supposed to read, is the least important when monitoring for fertility. LH is definitely the most important for it signals when you are ovulating. And PdG is also important since it will tell you when your eggs are mature and ready to be fertilized. I must say I am very dissatisfied and disappointed for I was really hoping it would do as advertised and save me trips and testing at the lab. If you guys can fix your wands or actually get them to work as advertised this would be a 5 star product. It is beautiful, convenient, easy to use, and portable. And the charting feature makes it that much easier to monitor only if the wands worked. I really hope Mira can fix this issue and become the 1st all in one portable accurate lab hormone monitoring devise.

This app is decent in term of the main functionality. However, there are too many ads all over place on the app and push notifications. It does not even allow you to opt out to certain ad frequency. If you are an attorney and you want to go after this company for this, feel free to download the app and test it yourself. I’m shocked that so many customers are bullied and didn’t realize that there is laws about enabling customers opting out of ads. Another thing too is that this app does not allow users to authenticate with their web credentials. Which year are we live in that we have ti deal with login discrepancy experience across platform? Get it together guys! We pay so much for your service because the app works. I’m thinking of transitioning to a different product because of all the friction points with this app.

No option to track more than one Mira reading a day

I wish there was a way to turn off the prompts that apply to someone with a normal cycle. I don’t have a period nor ovulate. I got Mira so I could track my hormones while not actively taking fertility meds and to also see if the meds are having the desired effect. It slightly upsets me to see the ‘have you started your period?’ or ‘you need these for your period!’ prompt everyday. No I haven’t, but thanks for the reminder that my body doesn’t function normally. The constant marketing adds that pop up before you can see your results are discriminatory and annoying. We all paid enough for the device, stop trying to sell us something new everyday.

I’d give the whole product (including the app), 2.5 stars. The device and the wands are stupid expensive. Mira’s customer service is AWFUL. I had a miscarriage and was not able to reset the app so it didn’t still read like I was pregnant. I contacted customer service numerous times and didn’t hear a peep for awhile. Then, when someone did finally reach out to me (despite me describing that I followed the instructions to reset the app to read that I’m trying to conceive rather than pregnant, she STILL told me to follow the instructions I had already tried). Finally, after reaching out 3 more times, someone else finally replied and told me how to do a workaround so I could finally go back to the trying to conceive setting. For the money this costs, Mira should at least invest in a call center rather than a stupid in-app messaging system that they reply to whenever they feel like it. Anyway, save your money, time and heartbreak and buy something worthwhile. There are plenty of better devices out there that work and cost less than half the price of Mira. Also, when we did get pregnant, it happened when o wasn’t tracking anything in the app. So yeah…

As someone who understands the medicine and the hormones and all of the things, I am slightly disappointed with the ability of this app to adjust. As a scientist, I understand the value of consistency in data. Consequently, I keep as many factors the same when doing my testing, same time of day, hydration levels, etc. so that the values should be relatively stable and good. I have relatively regular cycles and as someone who is older, I’m using this to continue to track and was hoping it would be next level with helping me pinpoint to as exact point as I could my ovulation. However, this is a very expensive process for any normal person. Consequently, I do not do a test wand every day as the app instruct me because I feel like that’s kind of moneygrubbing. I do it in the middle days of my cycle when I’m ovulating. I also do it at the beginning of my cycle because I would like to keep track of my FSH as I am older. I understand it is next level technology and I do appreciate that however, as someone with regular cycles, I do not need to test every day for 20 days. also looking at my most recent chart. I have a near textbook graph of what is going on. It’s just subtle and because this is run by AI, which is not perfect yet I don’t have a peak day or an ovulation day in the app nor do I have the ability to mark it for myself, as it is quite obvious yet subtle. I understand marketing is important, but as other reviewers have said the incessant buy more wands, which are very expensive and use more wands, makes me feel like this is more money making scheme than actually caring about what’s going on with my cycles, I do like the technology ability to measure actual levels of hormones because I don’t wanna be going to the hospital to do that every five minutes with the blood draw so I do appreciate that fact. There’s just some small tweaks that should be made.

The machine suddenly stop working and any time I put a strip it says error. So far I’ve wasted almost all my strip, unable to track and no answer from mira.
