Amazing just missing one thing
Its awesome, it is missing a 16ch version that works within Logic Pro when using multichannel surround tracks.
miRack ist nicht kostenlos (es kostet 14.99), enthält jedoch keine In-App-Käufe oder Abonnements.

Module selection is a little sparse but it works great and its definitely enough modules to keep you busy and do most things
This is a great way to comprehend sound design , music production and audio engineering!!!! I use it for a more complex understanding yet check out Instagram: @718lyn #uwilllc
Seriously, so good. Thank you to the developers.
This is the perfect app for when you already know a fair bit about synthesis, and at least the basics of how audio and CV routing works. I have stared into the abyss that is hardware modular synthesizers, and the allure to design your very own set of modules and potentially create soundscapes that few if any have ever laid ears on before is alluring. Unfortunately, the cost of entry into this world is next level steep. A single module can easily cost as much as an entire mainstream synthesizer, sometimes multiple times over. Sure, there are lower cost modules, but the top of the line ones are providing modulation and utility that goes far beyond what any regular synth has; like shaping an envelope or generating sequence data using linear algebra equations to modulate CV, or have a massive interconnected matrix of parameters that can all cross modulate each other. This is why people will gladly pour $10k+ on a wall of modules and cover it in miles of patch cable spaghetti to hear a noise that nobody in their right mind would find pleasant. MiRack gives you a playground to try out some of these modules and their neat features on your iPad. The developers seem to be committed to including faithful software versions of well known module designers, like Mutable Instruments. Every module that is not simple and obvious in function either has a built in help guide, or links you to the real life hardware manual on the manufacturer’s website. Many of the modules I have been reading about are here, and it is great to be able to follow along with the actual manual without spending hundreds. Absolutely recommend this for anyone who is interested in this hobby but are not ready to sink thousands into it. One of my favorite apps on iPad, easily.
Needs more modules or the ability to import your own third party modules. Some buttons freeze up a fair amount like solo on the 16ch mixer and has to be closed and reopened
If I had to be on an island with five apps this would be one of them. And I am still learning. There’s so much on patchstorage that even if you don’t know how to build yet on your own , between patch storage and YouTube videos there is endless learning, creativity, fun from this app . It’s also very simple to use as an effect and probably my favorite effect. And the synth sounds you can make (and tweak from patchstorage as a way to learn and have fun with it ) are amazing. If you’re an adhd brain like me, and love electronic music this app will be extra fun . It took me a year of playing around daily on various apps to finally understand everything and I’m so glad I did it.
I love this app. I have a growing tabletop of hardware Modular synths that I spend most of my time on, as well as my laptop where I use various DAWs and VCV Rack. The reason I love this app is that I bring my iPad everywhere, and I can patch in all kinds of settings. The car while on a road trip, the train, waiting at the doctor’s office, in the park - wherever. There aren’t as many modules as VCV but there are more than enough (way more than enough) to make any sounds I can imagine. I’ve also never had any issues with crashes, glitches or any type of bug. It’s very solid. I’ve noticed a couple of nice improvements in the time I’ve used it, so I appreciate the developer staying on top of the software. It is well worth the small cost for the endless amount of joy it provides. Thank you from a happy person in Colorado.
There is no better way to learn modular synth than VCV rack
Probably the best modular synth on the App Store, it gives you VCV on the go with tons of options to build a monster. $11 might seem high but it gets you not only a portable rack but it’s also an audio unit and you can probably get more advantage from an M1/M2 device, like a desktop to put your racks in the big workstation or on iPad for more power to make complex patches. Go out there and learn modular and try out VCV to make sure this is the right option, and take it anywhere.
