Miximum: Smart Playlist Maker

One of the biggest advantage of Apple Music over Spotify is more complex rating system and the ability to create playlist based on listening count, when did I listen, when did I add song to library etc. This app brings such features also to iOS which is huge. Thank you. I have problem with sharing playlists to Apple Music, they turn up empty. Maybe it’s iOS 17 problem. Please fix this.

I don’t know why Apple Music on iOS / iPad OS doesn’t have smart playlists, but this app fills that gap. My only wish for this app is that you could make a Mix off a Library search, instead of using an existing playlist as the base.

Only used because you could so easily see and sort play count. New update doesn’t show the count anymore. No longer a useful app.

For several years now I’ve used Mike’s apps to listen to my music my preferred way - random album. Play one album start to finish and then pick another random to play start to finish. Albums are meant to be played as a collection. Apple’s random function leaves me feeling schizophrenic! This is the answer!! My music enjoyment would be complete if this were made available in CarPlay and on AppleTV. Especially CarPlay so that I could interact with the infotainment rather than my phone. Please, please, please, Mike!!

I love the app, but since the latest update, I can’t exclude videos from my playlists. Please fix

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the progress bar within the in app music player that shows how far along a song has been played. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back the specific date when a song was LAST PLAYED - this is especially useful in the LAST PLAYED playlist. Awesome functionality. Just love the ability to modify the playback for Last Played. Keep up the good work!

Updated Review: The updated version feels fresher and faster, so huge kudos! I love the addition of the delete group confirmation. I hate that I love it, but accidentally tapping that bit me in the butt so many times… Curious why the star rating rule was changed from tappable stars? Not a big deal, but I found the previous usage easier. Maybe the app’s coding is easier this way? I noticed that the “Loved” selection wasn’t replaced by “Favorites” in the scroll picker. Not an issue for me, but might be confusing for newer users. Lastly, I have to admit that I don’t love the new edit screen. I’m probably the exception as I have tons of playlists in my library and scrolling through them left and right takes MUCH longer. Overall, love the app and am grateful for the regular updates! I’d be crushed if this app ever went away! I really use it a ton! Thanks! Original Review: This is easily one of my most used apps on my phone! One issue I recently ran into is that I ran into results that included Audiobooks from the books app? Any way to exclude these from the results? Maybe this one is just me continually fat fingering my screen, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tapped the text space when editing a rule and accidentally hit the delete button that deletes the whole group… That REALLY sucks… Also, is there a way to include/exclude music videos? Awesome work! I love this app!

Combining "sources" and "rules" in a single screen is a major improvement. Making it easier to edit mixes on the fly!

Highly recommend this for creating smart playlists. Makes my listening experience so much better.
