This app has a search function to find out if items are recyclable. Very helpful. You can set notifications to remind you to put out your waste bins.

I have reminders sent by email to set out my bins for glass recycling, and often miss those reminders because I didn’t check my email in a timely fashion. Well, ta dah!! Now I get text reminders. I love this app!!
