Monero Wallet by Freewallet

I have been using this app for about 2 years, always has issues “missing deposits”, this last transaction I sent BTC to my “smart address”, never arrived, can’t get help from anyone at Customer support. This is not the first time, funds just don’t arrive. I’ve also tried generating a new smart address and it keeps giving me the same one, which is nowhere in my FW history. Just shady business.

I had this wallet for a few years and it worked fine. Then my phone was broken and when I replaced it I could no longer access my account w my simple phone number They asked me to provide I no longer had access too since finance is no longer accessible to me or wherever I got my Monero. Now I no longer have my Monero balance showing.

thought i should give them a shot again…still the same slow…irregular…and weird wallet. save yourself $100 and stay far away. worst wallet.

Like many others have complained in the reviews FreeWallet will hold your deposit/receive hostage. When I signed up it didn’t say anything about needing KYC to withdraw or send. Recently I tried to send my coins to another wallet and my account was frozen. They then asked me for KYC and 100 other things that they should not even have the right to ask for, I complied to all! They just keep coming up with something else they need ever time! Many people on here are complaining about $10-$100 be locked up, well they have $35k + of my coins locked. I am being forced to have to hire an attorney to recover the funds if any! Talk about a worst nightmare of an app! Customer service is terrible! 40+emails in thread and no resolution. Do not take a chance with even $1 of your coins, this company is the biggest scam in the market place! They need to be shut down and banded from existence everywhere!

I’ve been trying to get a simple fix on my email, but it has been taking over a month. The support team is extremely slow and makes things a lot more complicated then they have to be. Most times when I send them an email back, it takes a week for them to reply! And then they ask for more information! It’s ridiculous what they ask for just for a simple change to fix an accounts email address.

They will take your money. They will give you a hundred hoops you must jump through to access your money. And if you manage to jump through all 100, they will tell you that for your own security, you need to jump through 200 more. And so on and so forth. It's actually very impressive that they have managed to keep their apps on the App Store for this long. Do not download this app or any other app they have available. Literally any other wallet would be better. Edit (regarding Freewallet's response): Is it standard policy to flag transactions that are under $10 to prevent money laundering? You don't need my ticket number. I'm not interested in going down your never ending verification rabbit hole. You can keep the pocket change. This review is not for you, it's a warning for all the unsuspecting users that might accidentally mistake your company/apps for something legitimate.

I thought this wallet might be alright based on the overall positive reviews, but should have done more research first. You are allowed to deposit funds into your new wallet, but not withdraw them. It says that you have to verify the e-mail address of where you want to send them first, which doesn’t even make sense - I’m trying to withdraw them to a private wallet, not an e-mail address. If you look at Reddit or other sites, this wallet also has a bad reputation and is known as something of a scam for this reason. Update: After working with their customer support for around a week, it looks as if the issue has been resolved, and I can now withdraw my funds.

It was never explicitly explained that when you exchange using their app your funds can be locked for up to 6 months and when you submit for verification they can ask you where did you receive even the coins you offered for exchange or that they want to know how you get the coins I really thought it was a joke until it happened 5 btc gone
