Disappointed
Moneyboard Review Pro’s • Beautiful simple interface embodying some innovative concepts. • Affordable app without a subscription trap. Con’s • Unreliable synching, causing reallocation of transactions into the wrong Categories. I’ve now twice had to go through an entire year’s transactions and reallocate all the miscategorized transactions back into the correct, original Categories as well as recreating Categories that mysteriously “disappeared” after either synching or updating the Moneyboard app to the newest version. • Synching also split my single account into 2 additional accounts, called Backup Account and Main Account. There doesn’t seem to be a tool to merge these erroneously created accounts back into one account. • Primitive Budgeting function: previously pushing the Budgeting button just caused the app to crash. In the most recent update Bugeting is actually available, but doesn’t Auto-Budget as I have seen in other expense trackers; some of them could already decades ago create budgets automatically based upon existing transactions. In conclusion: this app is probably fine to use for very casual expense tracking where no synching to iCloud is involved. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
