Hey Sony, it’s an a7s3 user here… With the release of the 3.0 firmware we can now use this app, but it seems like you’ve deliberately left out the most important feature everyone wants. There is no GAMMA DISPLAY ASSIST on the monitor+ctrl app for a7s3 users. This means that if I’m shooting in SLOG3, I’m still being forced to look at a grey log image just like the old Imaging Edge app. It’s astounding that you’ve given a7s3 users the ability to control 99% of the other functions on this app (in a much better way than imaging edge did) but have withheld gamma display assist. Initially, I thought the entire app that was missing any log assistance feature, but as predicted, if you connect an FX3, you get a plethora of conversion options for log footage. (I know the FX3 supports custom luts, but the a7s3 DOES support gamma display assist). If the functionality exists on camera, it should be supported in the app. Gamma display assist is a function of the a7s3, please don’t be greedy and prevent it from being in this app. Your users will thank you for it, and you’ll stop people flocking over to the monitor+ app and paying $25 for that one, and having potential users exit the monitor+ctrl and creator app ecosystem.

great that there seems to be an app for F series how about something working for the Alpha Series like S3 etc. c’mon Sony it ain’t that difficult to creat a good app

The app is very convenient and love it for when I don’t want to shoot raw with Atomos Ninja. The features available on it are awesome and even works great for multi cam setups.

Please add the ability to overlay aspect ratios so we can review our footage in the proper format. And custom aspect ratios as well! Just like the cameras. 🙏🏽😌 and is there anyway to improve the resolution being streamed? Update: version 5 improved the resolution to the app. But please add the ability to set aspect ratios!

False color is great! The zebras are great. The ebility to adjust aperture, and other things without touching the camera while it’s on a gimbal is great! I’m wondering if it’s just because I’m using this with a Sony a7S3 that there are so many limitations. I’m watching all the videos on YouTube and everybody has tons of applications but my A7S3 is not coming up with all of the stuff everybody else has. the most detrimental being, I can only monitor with a log profile when I have the camera in slog3. I need to have Slog assist, at least, and the ability to upload Luts would be even better. There’s also no focus peeking. 🤨

Would love to see the ability to import luts for the A7siii!

Auto focus assist needs to be RED, it’s white or grey and who can see it? It’s focus peaking and it needs to be red - please fix.

Just charge us a fee for the ability to remote monitor/control our camera, but this app demands full access to every photo on my phone, my location, etc and is a privacy nightmare. Sony hardware is fantastic, but these scammy data harvesting practices after paying thousands for hardware is offensive and tacky. Sony, please shift your strategy before you lose your customer base.

Worked the first couple times on my fx3 and then never again. Same problem with fx6 but lasted longer. Don’t depend on it.

This app apparently is very stable compared with Monitor+ but seriously no aspect ratios with Monitor & Control? I’m using two anamorphic lenses 1.33x and 1.5x the app has no option to desqueeze? Setting desqueeze through FX30 setting does nothing in the app. Pretty bad. Too bare bones, going back to Monitor+ with a cable instead I guess. Charge subscription or money for the app but do the app right or remove it from the app store.
