Moobox Cam

Camera is half baked at best. Awful range, bad night vision quality, very weak battery life. Do yourself a favour and look at Eufy or Google wish I had!

I would say this is the worst cam I had, always lost connection and the app always flash exit have no reason.

Started off with so much potential, I chose this brand of outdoor camera due to the constant updates - a real positive! But now, my camera battery drains and doesn’t even last a week. It’s awful. I have a chronic illness, I can’t keep going outside every couple of days to charge the thing again. It claimed to have a battery that lasted a long time!

Download the app and it gives good setup video. The app has problems showing stored events. Tech support said I have to reset the iPhone and all settings to ‘see’ stored video This I reluctantly did but it only lasts as long as you do not try to restore your ringtone or any of the other setting that the restore clears. Tech support blamed my iPhone 8 Plus 128 gig. Tried iPad. Same problem. Tried partners iPhone 7plus 128 gig . Same problem - you loose the ability the see past events as soon as you start restoring you ringtone etc. ( partner not happy at having to restore other app setting and home page wallpaper) It’s the app that needs fixing to work with iPhone’s and not just blame the phone as being ‘faulty’ .

I bought 2 Moobox cameras because they were made by Ucam247. They are rubbish by comparison and so is the app. I have 3 UCam247 cameras and they are great. With Moobox you can’t use motion detection while charging. The two months battery life is lucky to be 2 days. Less if you have heavy footfall. Worst of all, every time you update the app everything disappears and you’ll have to reinstall constantly, that’s if it doesn’t crash constantly! Moobox is an expensive mistake. Avoid.

The basics of this app work, it does its job. It is very flakey, however, and crashes frequently. There seem to be frequent updates so I’m hopeful for the future. Altogether a good camera package at a great price.

First of all, whilst the app is simple, it is “too simple” in my opinion and should feature more options. Secondly, and most importantly, it crashes ALL THE TIME! It’s so annoying. You reopen it, it crashes on launch. You’re looking at “Events” (stores image clips) and it crashes. And so on. Whilst not an app issue per se, it’s very poor that you can’t view or manage the camera on a pc or via web browser. So I’m forced to use this unreliable app. The cameras have their own limitations, but I can accept these. But the app needs improvement for the package to be worthwhile, especially for users of multiple cameras.

Would receive 5 stars, but the app needs optimising for iPhone X; especially for the two way speaking as the button is right on the swipe off line. Also app always crashing.
