Moon Globe HD

Fun little app to show the moon phase and interesting details. I wish there was an option to have it open with no buttons showing (unless you tap the screen). I use it to set my daily screen wallpaper with an iOS shortcut, but the buttons keep showing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

As a long time amateur astronomer I think it’s just ok. An app in my pocket to identify features at the eyepiece. The terminator is poorly defined. When I select a date I want to know exactly what is in high relief on the terminator. I was also disappointed it didn’t have a little more resolution even in the HD version. It’s basic.

I would like to see a grid for scale.

I’m a very dedicated amateur astronomy educator, and I spend a lot of time showing people the moon. I’m sad to say that my knowledge of the names of the moon’s craters and highlands is middling at best. This app is a beautiful and easy-to-use tool for reviewing those names, for figuring out what you can see on the moon when, and for generally exploring our closest celestial neighbor. There’s nothing half as good on the app store for learning our moon

I’m an amateur astronomer and this app is pretty darn great for students like myself. 10/10

I use this great app every time I use my telescope. I use it to determine which lunar feature I will view & investigate. Although I haven’t had the app for long, it has become an useful lunar tool.

BUT... would like to see an update to include Chang’e spacecraft locations.

Please update the app by adding the names of phases like full moon for example and all the other names of all the moon phases thank you. PS this update is mandatory to give your app a five star rating and a 5.0 rating cause according to the App Store the app is 4.7.
