Motus - Business Mileage Log

RUN AWAY!! Do Not Recommend!! Their error cost me not getting mileage reimbursement. Their answer is to make it up on the next reimbursement cycle (60 days after the mileage was incurred). Total lack of customer service or regard for their financial mistake.

The app constantly brings up a pop up to give them access to my location services “always.” This is very annoying as is pops up frequently while using the app.

My former employer used this program. It is riddled with issues. It will underpay you miles, it assumes astronomically high fuel economy. The app also doesn’t fully collect GPS data resulting in being shorted miles.

This app constantly kicks you out and fails to track mileage creating huge risk in liability for a company. Not good.

Do not use this App unless you have to by your employer. It misses miles and logs you out during your trip. This is absolutely the worst mileage app I have ever used. I don’t know thier benefit of shaving miles. There are much better apps available.

Every single time I have used this app to track miles, the audio in my car will randomly mute. If I am on a phone call, it mutes the speakers and the microphone. I have to fix it by picking up the phone - way to put people’s lives in danger. If I am listening to the radio, it mutes it. What kind of garbage programming was done when developing this piece of worthless junk?

Ugh this app is basically soooooo basic, wondering if this is a beta version? The only useful feature, imo, is that miles track automatically and it’s fairly easy to add and remove “trips”…hence the two sad stars. That being said, the issues: The measly monthly stipend amount is calculated initially when adding vehicle, can’t remember the exact number (shoulda screenshotted), now can’t find that number anywhere in the app. Mileage reimbursement varies monthly, can see the number of miles but nowhere does it show the $$ amount that will be/has been deposited…ummmm, “stub” please?? And chat icon is pointless as it’s always a bot with no actual solutions. The numbers… I’m averaging 3k miles monthly @ roughly 17€/mile amounts to $500ish, stipend is just under $200…“business” insurance difference of $75 monthly, oil change $125 and changing monthly based on mileage, fuel costs of $500 monthly… To summarize, just breaking even and didn’t include other vehicle maintenance, tires, etc.

Motus missed a fixed cost reimbursment over 4 months ago. I’ve been fighting to get the money ever since then to no avail. Even the rep for Motus hasn’t been able to help, I will never take another job with a company that uses Motus. #medicalsales

Motus sends multiple emails per day claiming the insurance declaration is invalid when the administrator already cleared them. They threaten the users with with holding the payments. This happens daily to multiple users in my organization. I wonder if the mileage calculation is also inn accurate. They have done nothing to fix the issue. Not even an apology.

Don’t like that in order to use this app, you must have “always track location” checked off. Motus doesn’t need to know what I am doing in my personal time. Very invasive. Not sure what they are doing with the non-business related mileage tracking data. Also, they now want to connect directly with our insurance carrier electronically instead of us submitting the insurance paperwork. Don’t like anyone having access to any of my data electronically. Have had too much compromised. Do better Motus.
