My 6 year old cat loves this game, play it whenever possible😅❤️😺
Our 13 year old cat loves this game more than anything, she climbs up next to my pillow every night and waits for the mouse hunt to begin!
Originally I added this app to my phone and my cat absolutely loved it. After I added it to my iPad my cat spent even more time playing the game because we weren’t fighting for the phone. 🤣 I recently got a new iPad with a bigger screen and I was so excited to show her the game but there’s no sound. I have checked the settings on my phone and even deleted/ reinstalled the app but there’s no sound. I see other reviews that mention the same issue.
I wish I could post a video of my cat and how she reacts when I turn this on for her. She has her very own tablet for this game specifically. She loves it and is a riot when she’s trying to get that mouse.
I still call it my ipad, but every time I pick it up, my cat’s cute little face pops up from wherever she was. Those big, bright, excited eyes are really hard to resist! 2023: We no longer have sound feedback - no mouse - no squeek.
My 3 1/2 year old cat loves this game he’s playing it on my iPad mostly on a daily basis
My cats are crazy over this. They fight over it. Gonna need more iPads
My perspective is this app generally does what it set out to do for cats in a easy to use way. Oddly this app made one of my cats cry, and scared the second one - but, I’d say this is not the typical reaction cats have.
My cat delights in this app to the point that he tries to make off with iPhone. Seriously, the edges of my otterbox are chewed up. In addition to my own cats I foster kittens several times a year and this app helps me to help them. Mouse for cats is my go to rehabilitation tool and toy for these little ones. First it does an excellent job of stimulating their brains & developing interest in things in their environment. This is not always easy to accomplish in undernourished, underdeveloped, and sometimes severely traumatized kittens (people can be cruel). This app is an invaluable tool for that. Stimulating interest is the most important thing to get some of these babies interested in food & eating which is the biggest hurdle in caring for them. A hurdle not always surmountable sadly, but Mouse for Cats CAN & does make a difference. Second it helps with paw-eye coordination, again not the easiest thing to foster in this type of youngster. There are a couple of things that I’d love to see down the road. It might be helpful to kittens if the mice squeak on their own every minute or so to refocus attention. Even periodic rustling noises might help. Cats catch on right away, kittens 3-6 weeks old have a harder time figuring it out & they have fairly short attention spans. I’d also like to see shorter levels so the mouse’s color changes more frequently. Again, this might help refocus kitten’s attention. I’ve had this app for 2 or more years & I cannot remember if I paid for it or if it were free. Either way I’d like a way to $upport the developers. Clearly a LOT of effort, expertise & artistry goes into this app & I’d like to contribute in someway. Maybe a website name or something that wouldn’t give the app ‘gods’ a cut. 😺
I didn’t even get a chance to try this app out because the moment I launched it a gigantic ad spawned across the top of the app, easily taking up 1/4 of the usable space (and overlaying the app and its controls). Ads in free apps are fine. Ads that take up that much space make your app useless.
