MovieBuddy: Movie & TV Tracker

Ik krijg steeds de Engelse titel en cover te zien. Ik zou graag de in Nederland gebruikte titel zien en een Nederlandse cover.

I can find almost every movie or series I have ever seen. I’m building my database and what I miss is a button or swipe option to navigate from one movie to the next. Now I have to back and forth all the time. Other then that, I like all the option it has and all the option I can customise myself. Keep up the good work!

I recently spent half a day organizing and cataloging over 200 movies. I randomly picked this app and it worked well. I was able to use the free version for the first couple dozen (not exactly sure how many) but soon reached my max. I was grateful that the purchase option was cheap and not a subscription, what a relief! I love the “scan barcode” option, made it really easy to use. For movies I didn’t have a car or barcode for the manual option was also easy and quick to use. One option I wish they had, but they don’t, was to select what format your movie is in, and where to find it. For example, I own many movie’s digitally in Amazon prime and would love to add those to this collection without having to manually make a “note” for myself. If I could search through digital movies that would be awesome. The other thing I wish they would add was a “holiday” in the genre section. I have many holiday movies and keep them together. Other than those two changes I think they have done a great job and I highly recommend purchasing the full version.

Update: Thanks for pointing out that there is an option for this but that just brought up more problems. The app doesn’t actually differentiate the different versions of a movie. For example I have 4K and Blu-ray versions of a few movies but when I scan them they are both considered the same movie. It also has a hard time with box sets. I could go on but unless you’re willing to put a LOT of time into using this app, you’re better off paying more for a more competent app. I guess that is why this is so cheap… Old: This app would be amazing IF it actually listed the movies in the format you scan them in. You can manually set the format of the movie but it’s not shown in the actual list view so it’s useless.

This has been just what I needed to organize my DVD and Blu-Ray library.

Great app and I really like it, but it’s missing one thing. All it needs is box set compatibility, and it would be an easy five stars.

I used to have a Word document with all my movies but it was hard when I had to add a new one and print it out again. Though this is not on paper I have everything i need. It’s nice that it is customizable as to what information you want to display with the movies.
