Munchkin Level Counter

If you’re a Munchkin fan, then this is for you. If not, move along - nothing to see here :-) It gives you appropriately cheesy sound effects as you level up (or down) but doesn’t track your effective fight level separately - we use the kills counter for that.

As a family of Munchkin players this worked out really cost effective across our various devices...until the most recent ios9 updates which has stopped the app from launching entirely! Please try and fix it, SJ Games! Three stars would have been higher if not for this bug, but couldn't bring myself to give lower stars as we have got plenty of use out of the app!

I was, like others. Little hesitant at the price, but decided it would be worth a punt. Having used it. It appears the counter is solid enough, and the killometer is helpful enough for tracking those +10 cards stacking up, but it is a little dry on features. A way of keeping track of gear score as well as level would be nice. And maybe a toggle for remembering if you're male or female, would not add much, but would be super easy to include. My main gripe with this app, is the custom counter. Which was the main reason for purchase. I was a little unsure exactly what it would let you do (how many different counters. Etc) but as it turns out, all of that was moot, as the custom mode doesn't work at all. It allows you to setup a counter and a min-max, then after picking a background (a mandatory step) it simply crashes. I have never managed to get this to work.

It's a great companion to the game. But.... The price is maybe a little high, especially concise ring there's no retina support or 4" display support. Go on Steve, give that little bit extra polish.

Perfectly good counter and kill-meter, and the boons add a nice bit of spice :) as with others, my main gripe is the price. It would be better value for money if some extra features were added - personally, I'd love to see a section that contains the latest rules and the latest FAQ and errata lists, all with a search option. That would really make this puppy fly!

I thought £2.99 would be worth it as I enjoyed the game itself so much! But the kill-o-meter wheel was awkward to use. It would be better if you could have your level, then add your bonuses, then add the ability to track your friends' ability when they combine with you. I was on 18, then added on another 11 to fight a monster, but when it was all over, I had to go back to counting mine again! Every time I increased in level, changing the crappy graphics to a new number, bell chimed. This just mocked me and reminded me I'd been mugged off for paying £3 for this piece of rubbish.

Love the munchkin games we play at work most lunch times. I will willing to pay this small price for a boon and boon I did. And don't forget it's in the rules. One problem, there is talk about banning mobiles in the staff room :( I better install it on my iPad then :) Oh I would give 5 stars if the ui was slicker.

Pretty cool for adding to the game but the app itself could really use a polish, especially for retina display. Everything feels a bit... First attempt. Game wise though; a great add on. Although munchkins without iPhones do whine about the boons lol

Definitely one for the serious munchkin gamer; the price is reasonable if you think of it as a booster deck of 150 "cards". The Kill-o-Meter is great for the maths phobics like me! If you don't play Munchkin a lot, not really worth the price though. Needs skins for the other games like Space, Fu, Booty etc, at least for the counter and Kill-o-Meter perhaps. I admit doing new graphics for every boon card might be a bit much to expect!

This app is well above what it should cost at £2.99 (c'mon guys, I would've thought that £1.19 was somewhat more reasonable a price?!) but it's worth it just to see the look on your friends' faces when you reveal that your nifty new level counter also gives you the ability to pull a trump out of the bag at the last minute. If you're a huge Munchkin player and you play regularly, you need this app - if you're a more casual Munchkin player, then you might want to seriously think about the cost involved here. If the price drops, add a star to this review.
