Introducing Mobile Web Services (MWS), a new suite of Personal Identity tokens and services, developed, administered and managed by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
This MobileID Application is issued by the NIMC on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and serves as a valid means of Identification anywhere a Nigerian (or legal resident) is required to present an ID Token.
It MUST however, always be verified for the transaction to be complete.
The NIMC is also improving the design of the National Identification Number (NIN) Slip, which may also be verified using this App.
The NIMC will collaborate with sister agencies such as the FIRS, FRSC, JAMB, NAFDAC, NHIS and any other Federal or State Government that wishes to provide eServices to citizens via a secure platform.
Using this platform, the MWS Mobile Ecosystem means that the Government can instantly reach out to tens of millions of citizens anywhere in the world.
If you have been issued a National Identification Number (NIN) by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), you are welcome to download this application to use as a complement to, or in place of the physical National Identity Card.
This app may serve as a replacement for a physical Polycarbonate Card, since it also a State-of-the-Art General-Multipurpose resource.

Please DO NOT attempt to use a fake Mobile Number or Bank Verification Number (BVN) to register. A NIN is issued by the Federal Government, BVN is not!

It’s not working
The app is not working. I am unable to generate VNIN
Absolutely waste of time
I don’t usually review but rubbish. Absolute garbage
Needed an upgrade
The interface is good but I can't seems to print my NIN slip for the app always say there is a problem with my secure OTP that I should wipe my data and try again.. which I did severally and till now its still not working.. that's so frustrating

Total rubbish I download dis foolish app and is not opening so I deleted it and redownload again still dsame Wat a shame na only money they sabi to do thing better for pple to be satisfied na rubbish they go dey do up and down 😭😭😭😭😭
Big problem with getting an OTP ABROAD
We living abroad getting an OTP is a problem, you will try as many times OTP will never comes
The App is not working
Please what’s happening with the apps currently have been trying to do something on it but it showing it’s under maintenance since Can you pls find something do to it on time?

This app is trash!! Why OTP validation is delaying more than the given time????
Say Less, Do More.
A lot has been promised but it has been glitch after glitch and in many cases stone walled especially for those of us abroad. We cannot verify our NIN because the OTP is not set up to accommodate foreign numbers. Now this update came today promising verification via WhatsApp and yet nothing worked. Also, I hope the NIMC are aware that WhatsApp is a foreign owned private business. They claimed to be end-to-end encrypted but are they? Their primary loyalty is to their home country and government. Please do the needful and let those in the diaspora be able to verify their NIN on the app like those at home. We paid to register and some of us do have significant business interests back home that require us to be verified.
Not working outside Nigeria
I was ecstatic about using this app outside Nigeria when I downloaded it. It seems it is does not work outside Nigeria or is because it is not supported by Apple Store?
