MyPoint PowerPoint Remote

The app works, although sometimes I need to enter the IP manually. It is great in how I can see the presenter notes. To get 5 stars the UI needs some work.

My presentation bombed because it dropped out constantly. I've tested it multiple times and it loses connection despite the strongest wifi Avaliable. Not reliable.

No functionality that is useful; freezes on first PPT slide, crashes from settings, drops out of connection, builds multiple connections to devices, locks up randomly, tends to lock up applications, different functionality on different downloads, etc etc etc AVOID. February 2016

Very easy to use and seamless integration

It works, and then it doesn't. Works fine over a wifi connection, but over a personal hotspot bluetooth connection to my PC, it was a hit and miss :( other than that, the app contains a great user friendly interface and I like the intuitiveness!

Was worried by the reviews of the older version about poor connectivity. But have just downloaded version 2.1 and no problems, even from about 3 metres distance. Connected quickly, fast transitions. All good. The only catch was getting MyPoint Connector on my Mac first. The URL in the screen shot above wouldn't connect but Google found it easily. Once installed my iPhone and the Mac located each other quickly. But just make sure that you have the PPT already up in slideshow mode, otherwise the connection doesn't start up.

Great when it works. But takes AGES to recognise a connection most of the time and then crashes so often it's nigh unusable. Serious updates needed.

Works great connecting my PC and iPhone with PowerPoint! Smooth and easy to use. And free!!

I also couldnt quite get my head around how to connect it but once reading one of the views which explained how to do it it has been a god send. I also wish it could be bluetooth, maybe sometime in the future.

I had a bit of trouble getting head around how it works, I just couldn't get the presentation started. I got on email and contacted the programmers. A few days later they got back to me with what I wasn't doing correctly, my God this is an awesome feature. If we could get this working across Bluetooth instead of a network it would be perfect as presentations are not always able to be done on where there is a network. That bit of simple advice to help me get the presentation started as simple: 1) Open your presentation on the PC 2) Click on the "Slide Show" tab in the toolbar 3) Click on "From Beginning" in the slide show toolbar. 4) Open "MyPoint" on your iPhone. 5) Click through Slide Show using your iPhone. Great product.
