Didn’t think a compliant texting app could get any worse than my last firm until I had to use this one. Can’t bulk upload, crashes or just goes blank, and doesn’t notify me when a client accepts the initial request to receive text messages. Don’t like the fact that it also sends the disclosure on every text, either. Received a text this morning and now there are 3 different conversations for this client and all of them are telling me there are “no messages “ in the conversation. Need a better solution than this ASAP!

If you add up the comments on every one star review, they would all be 100% accurate. Anyone who is forced to use this “texting service“ from your broker dealer should email them now telling them how horrible it is and demand changes.
Bugs never get fixed, terrible developers!
I was excited at first when FMG Suite bought them, mistakenly hoping the app would improve - not! What a sad excuse for an app.
Is this the Best they can do?
Today was another exercise in frustration.
Tried to send a text to a client enrolled on MyRepChat. A pop-up proclaimed “the message cannot be sent.” Sent the message again. Same message. So I missed the opportunity to set up a call with a client on their lunch break.
Called MyRepChat. Twice. Three times.
Intro recording says the average wait time is 2 minutes, then nothing but music. After 3 times the average, the disembodied voice announced that no one was available.
On the third call the rep told me that the
messages had been sent. When I questioned that, the rep told me to uninstall and reinstall the app.
If only I had the time!
I’ve seen no improvement to their systems.
Why bother, they have a captive audience!
Needs a lot of work
Seems many IT teams shoot first and aim second. The UI is not great, cannot bulk import contacts even though it can access iPhone contact list. Have to flag a mobile number for your client as the one you want to text with even after you have changed the default import from”Other” to “Mobile”. Cannot add company name to a contact - even after importing a contact from iPhone that has company in the imported contact. After saving a contact, it takes you back to Home Screen instead of the contact you just saved and were about to call.
If you have the contact saved in this app, but not your phone, when they call, you get a text telling you who the call is from but it won’t show up over the incoming call. However, if that contact is not in your phones contacts, it won’t tell you who it is on the phone screen which blocks the text from being seen. Often the phone won’t ring when calling either.
Worst service
The absolute worst service. Repeated bugs. We are forced to use this provider for compliance purposes. I could go on and on with all the issues I’ve had since I began using this service. The problem is, I have no choice. The industry requires this to stay in compliance. A complete hindrance to my business. If I could give 0 stars I would, but unfortunately I have to give a star in order to write the review.
Lazy devs
With as much money as they must be bringing in by being one if the only compliant text apps for financial advisors (@$15/mo!), they should have worked out the myriad bugs and user experience issues that are constantly reported in the reviews. The mist recent one I am experiencing is that notification badges do not clear (iphone 14 pro). All the other issues from prior reviews seem to persist as well, despite “updates”. Too bad there is not more competition in this market.
Would be fine if it would not show there is a message when there isn’t
Nothing is more annoying than seeing that red bubble with a number in it for unread notifications when you don’t actually have any unread notifications. How long is it going to take to fix something so simple?
Unstable Like Windows in the 80s
This app is a complete pain to use. One third of texts are missed because the app cannot refresh properly. Another third of outgoing texts are unable to be sent because the app crashes and shuts down before sending.
Now, I can no longer see texts from my boss including the history. The push notification is working on iOS, but that’s it.
You have to remember to close the app or else you will screw yourself. 🤞🏼
