Mystic Mondays

I love this, it’s so positive looking and so explicit, just perfect.

I downloaded Mystic Mondays about two years ago around the time I first started college to check it out with a friend who also shared the same interest in tarot, but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to put more effort into learning the cards at the time. I want to start out by saying that I have loved this app and it’s interface, you can tell a lot of work has been put into it by the developers and I have even considered buying their physical deck at one point, however, with this new update I can’t say that I’m as satisfied as I once was. I have loved the addition of the daily crystal, zodiac, and animal cards and didn’t mind when a few of the more of the in depth features went behind a paywall, but with this latest update, you now have to watch an ad before drawing each of your daily cards, pay $1 for a single day of “fast pass”, or pay 10.99 a month to unlock everything. That means now you would have to watch 4 second ads for your 4 daily cards. I am all for supporting developers, but it’s extremely redundant and unwelcoming, almost unmotivating as well, to have an ad before every single card. I would like to see you guys change this in the future to maybe an ad to unlock them all for the day, I think this would open up more willing support from the community without creating an unfriendly user experience.

With this new update I can’t get to the home page anymore I have to go to the calendar page to look up my cards!?!?!?

Used to be a completely free app but it’s not anymore. You have to pay for everything on it or watch a ad for each card to “unlock” it even though that was never a thing until the update. went to subscribe to the yearly subscription where it says you get one month free and was instantly charged 120$… which i am not happy about. They need to change a lot of things on the app and stop scamming people as well!!

As another reviewer said, I guess buying the decks wasn’t enough. The most basic apps at least give you a one card draw. Now you have to watch an ad or upgrade to premium… why? What happened to the point system? This has been one of my favorite apps for years, but after this most recent update… there’s a high probability that it will get deleted. #bringbackthefreebies

The Mystic Mondays app is part of my daily morning routine—I love kicking off my morning with a little daily message & guidance, & love grabbing the crystal I get in the card pull to have with me for the day (helps me reconnect with crystals & stones I otherwise would neglect & leave on a shelf somewhere). For people angry about the ads—it seems people expect a ton of beautiful aesthetics, information, & effort from an app & don’t consider there are real people running it. If you want content, someone has to develop it. If you want FREE content, SOMEONE HAS TO DEVELOP IT. Why do people expect those who offer spiritual services to offer their work for free? Real human beings have real lives & real bills to pay—would you offer your services at your job for no pay? If you can’t afford a monthly subscription, that’s fine (I can’t afford the premium services from the app right now either). The **very short skippable after a few seconds** ads are a way to keep the app available & people who develop the app & content sustained. I highly doubt anyone on the MM team is diving into a pool of gold coins because of a $9.99 monthly fee. You want something? Something must be given in return, & a few seconds to play an ad seems pretty fair.

I downloaded this app when it first came out but now there are ads every time I pick a card which makes me not like the app. I know ppl need money for apps but it disrupts the experience. 🙁

Incredibly insightful on tarot

I’ve had this app for a long time but now you have to watch an Ad to even view each of your daily cards. There was also a nice point system that you earned points by just viewing your card, but those are pointless now because you have to pay premium to unlock things. This app is going downhill and it’s not long until they’ll make you pay for everything.

So after all these years (and actually purchasing a physical deck), I have to pay for a daily card? What an utter disappointment.
