myTracks turns your iPhone or Apple Watch into a fully functional GPS logger. The GPS recordings can be displayed on different maps, which are also available without an internet connection if required. During a recording you can place and name waypoints to mark important locations. In addition to the waypoints, you can also take photos in myTracks, which are then assigned directly to the GPS track. The GPS tracks are stored exclusively on your iPhone, which means you don't have to register or log in anywhere. If you want, you can sync all your GPS tracks between your devices (iOS and macOS) via iCloud.
You can start and stop GPS recordings individually or use the energy-saving diary mode, where myTracks automatically creates a single track with the most important positions for each day. You can conveniently manage the GPS tracks in the track library. From there you can export the tracks or the associated photos, e.g. by e-mail and publish them on social networks.
The integrated Apple Watch app shows information about the current GPS recording. This includes the start time, distance covered, current, minimum and maximum altitude and the current map section. The GPS recording of the iPhone can be started and stopped via the Apple Watch and waypoints can be added. Since myTracks 5 you can also record directly with the Apple Watch.

Startet nicht auf meinem 11“ iPad Pro
Da gibt es irgendeine Inkompatibilität mit dem iPad Pro 11“, denn auf dem iPhone 13 Pro und dem 12.9“ iPad Pro läuft die App einwandfrei. Auch Neuinstallation und Diagnosemodus haben nichts genützt. Hat es etwas mit der durch das andere Seitenverhältnis bedingten Auflösung zu tun?
Super App … war es mal
Hatte die App vor gut 6 Jahren mal intensiv für ein paar Monate genutzt. Die damaligen Funktionen waren für mich zum einfachen erfassen der gefahrenen Strecken ausreichend. Heute wollte ich sie wieder verwenden, aber nichts geht mehr. Keine Kartenansicht vorhanden. Offlinekarten scheint es nur im Abo zu geben. Hätte ja nichts dagegen, einen gewissen Betrag (kein Abo!) zu zahlen. Aber da nichts zu Funktionieren scheint, macht das keinen Sinn.

Müsste ein Abo abschließen obwohl ich vor einiger Zeit schon Dieburg Version gekauft habe.
Abo Modell trotz vorherigem Kauf
Vor mehr als einem Jahr habe ich die Premiumversion gekauft. Heute kann ich die bereits gekauften Funktionen nicht mehr nutzen, es sei denn, ich schließe zusätzlich ein Abo für die bereits gekauften Funktionen ab. Sowas ist total unseriös!
Gekaufte Karten sind weg, seit Update - war mal eine gute App
Ich habe diese App sehr gerne benutzt, jedoch sind seit dem letzten Update alle meine bisher gekauften Offline-Karten (Länder) weg; hat für mich einen sehr unangenehmen Beigeschmack & ich fühle mich abgezockt. Man kann sich nur noch Karten bestimmter Gebiete herunter laden, in teils fürchterlichen Zoomstufen. Die App ist für mich nahezu unbrauchbar geworden.

Und die nächste tolle App, die auf Abo umgestellt. Langsam reichts mir. Schade....hatte die bislang immer gerne genutzt aber das werde ich nicht unterstützen.
War mal die beste App
Leider funktioniert aktuell nicht mehr viel. Vielleicht verbessert sich das demnächst wieder, von daher nur eine Momentaufnahme: - OSM-Karten können scheinbar nicht mehr heruntergeladen werden. Scheinbar muss man sich eine Karte anschauen und kann dann nur genau diesen Ausschnitt runterladen. Das ist eine Katastrophe, weil mir ständig eine Fehlermeldung sagt, der Ausschnitt wäre zu groß. Früher hatte ich ganz Europa runtergeladen. Jetzt geht nichtmal mehr eine Stadt. - Einstellungsfenster bleiben leer und weiß, man muss die App schließen und neu aufmachen. - Die iCloud-Unterstützung vergisst die App andauernd und man muss 1x pro Woche (gefühlt) wieder alle Spuren runterladen. Ich bin grade im Urlaub und wollte mich auf die Offlinekarten verlassen. Jetzt suche ich eine neue App.
