OMG legal ecstasy
I feel as if I’ve died and gone to heaven. There are so many world class productions that if we’re not for The National making them available to watch online, the world would have been a darker place. I’m having to drip feed a play day for fear that I would become vitamin D deficient. Yes it is not as good as going to the theatre but it’s a close second. As the bard said: ‘All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women are merely watching National Theatre Home’.
Simple and straightforward
All I want in an app is for it to do what it says it will do - and do it in a simple and straightforward way. With an uncluttered interface, it’s easy to browse the library and search for whatever I’m looking for. Plus, great content, shot with sensitivity for the medium. For me, it’s the next best thing to being there.
Best Subscription for Theatre
I absolutely LOVE National Theatre at Home. It’s as convenient as Netflix, but full of brilliant, beautiful works of absolute art. I love the theatre and go often, but it is not possible to see everything. This is the next best option or to watch again something you love - like People, Places, Things and The Effect. Such a privilege to be able to experience those shows again. My mum has Alzheimer’s and going to the theatre is not really easy for her anymore, but she always loved it - with this app I can bring theatre to her. Recently I showed her The Little Big Things - which I had seen live. She just loved it - it brought her so much joy and made her “feel alive again” having felt like her life had become really small. She said she felt like dancing. Thank you National Theatre!

I have subscribed by paying for a year, which has been paid, and still not able to watch anything. I have been in contact by email, but unable to talk to anyone. Very frustrating !!
