Far too many screens questioning my reasons for making a payment
App won’t open and won’t update, stuck in a loop. Has been for over a week. Very frustrating to be without mobile banking for so long.
The banking app used to be a great way of tracking my spending and perfect for budgeting. However the newest update has removed the ability to amend and subcategorise transactions, and doesn’t have recent spending (not pending) on the insights tab. Such a loss to have this feature taken away.
I have been a customer of Natwest for over 30 years, the face of the bank has changed over the years from a customer facing bank to the future of banking wil never be the same, like all banks they make mistakes but need always to constantly review what they can do better I have found many things useful and I was in fear of change, however you can embrace some, I miss the days of your bank knowing you as a person, unfortunately those days have gone, closing branches etc,
The previous version of the app was almost perfect. The payments update has made it significantly worse. Its confusing and convoluted compared to how it was before. Edit: the “developer responses” to the many comments on how payments/transfers are more convoluted, are frankly patronising. Payments and transfers now *objectively* take more steps to complete than before and the UX design is worse. 2nd Edit: I’ve moved to Starling. You can do most things within one or two taps on their app.
I’ve been with the NatWest since starting work , I have never had any problems with it. I’ve got my mortgage and had a few loans , I wouldn’t change it at all. And the staff are lovely . Well done NatWest
Why add features that don’t work?
This app is rubbish compare to my husbands Lloyds mobile banking, I cannot deposit a cheque because the app keeps putting ,00 instead of ,60
I’ve been a regular user of the app for 2 years. Generally ok, but massively frustrating that NatWest is forcing me to use biometric approval for some transactions, but the app gives errors when registering for biometric approval, and NatWest support have been poor and unhelpful in terms of resolving this.
