Great app, it can help you interpret the world around you, learn phrases and have conversations, albeit broken ones, with the speech-translate functions. Has been very helpful navigating Korea, can highly recommend.

Best translations for Korean to English. More accurate than any others.

This translator is great, I use it mainly to help me learn Japanese or just to check the meaning of words. An improvement (which no other translator has, as far as my knowledge goes) would be a selection of moods you want to express e.g. from English to Japanese. For example the simple sentence 'I dropped the plate' could be either translated neutral 'お皿を落とした' OR with regretful emotion using the grammar ~てしまう as in 'お皿を落としてしまった'. It's very hard to have a "natural" phrasing otherwise. If anybody can build a technology that is something like this, is Naver Papago! Overall I love this app and the new features added, I can't wait to use the 'study camera' when (hopefully!) there will be a Japanese option.

Naver Papago is a translator that is near-impeccable for many reasons: it has succeeded in providing accessibility options; convenience; tolerable text-to-speech “Male” and “Female” voices; the minimal and attractive UI; and its ability to improve with the “Voting Translation” feature. It has also built its reputation as not just the top Korean translator but also, one of the most recommended in translating Japanese as well. While it is significantly better than Google Translate, it does falter in quality with some of the other languages (especially SEA and Eurasian ones, Hindi), and with Korean long paragraphs to English. Naver has potential to better its service and it seems Papago is in one of their main priorities.

This app is extremely useful, even when using other translation apps. Living in China means I have to do many translations to read text on phone screenshots or in the real world. Google translate is great if it works, but often it doesn’t in China. Papago allows you to select text, then copy the characters for further use which no other app does. Recently it can also do AR style image translations.The developers regularly add features and it is better integrated into iOS than google or Microsoft translate apps. Essential, even with other translation apps installed!!! Thank you developers!

In my opinion, this is the best language translator for Japanese. It gets the words accurate 90% of the time. I use this as my main translator to communicate with my Japanese best friend. Overall much better then google translator and I highly recommend. The voice spoken when enabled in the language also sounds very realistic.

THIS APP IS AMAZING!!!! It is really accurate and easy to use 🥳 it was perfect for my friend who is trying to live in England 😍

The app is a lot more accurate than Google Translate but I wish there could be a few more languages.
