Nebula.

nebula has awesome, quality content but never annoys you with ads, sponsor segments, or pushy efforts to make you watch more and more endlessly. it's a "calm" video site.

But very long load times. Not sure what's going wrong. Update: downloaded videos now seem to disappear! I'd love to rely on Nebula for my commute but the app just doesn't work well enough for that.

For users: Great content. 100% ads free. 100% quality videos. There really is exclusive content. Don’t mind the rant below, the app is not that bad, it’s because the people behind it are so talented and skilled that i’m not indulgent. I definitely recommend it. For developers: I don’t understand how this many tech content creators agreed that it’s ok for the app delivering their content to SUCK. You deserve money for the content and a platform to try things youtube will simply not tolerate and demonetize. We deserve an app that lets us actually consume the damn content and try the new things youtube won’t tolerate. Know your audience; we are educational video consumers, we concentrate on the video and listen to every word. We pause on every list, infographic, diagram. We bought the subscription for three reasons. 1 because you inspire us. 2 to consume more of your content. 3 to be done with ads. An app that sucks is more distracting than ads, we consume less content and are angry at you. I don’t wanna mention what’s wrong with the app, i just want the tech content creators to try using it for 5 mins. They’ll fix it in half an hour.

What stoked me about Nebula is it’s design, counter to YouTube and most platforms of today, it not purposefully designed for addiction. After you finish a video, it will have no recommendations, no auto-play to launch a new video. If you watch something on nebula, it’s because you choose to, not because an algorithm has decided that you should watch it. And with it’s price 12 times cheaper than a YouTube premium membership, it’s a no-brainer. If you are tired of being the product, constantly being bombarded with adds, and want to support your favorite content creators, nebula might be the first ethical and healthy video streaming platform.

Loading of the homepage is often very long… and there is no PIP !? Could we have it ?

Impossible to open, multiple crashes... I don’t mind paying for an app, but I do expect it to work on my iPad Pro. Who cares about the quality of the content if one can’t access i...

Should be Yt without the drawbacks, right? Well, although you find a bit of content from Youtubers, for example Real Engineering, the exclusive content is mostly “What if” science (=not science about facts but about events that can’t happen) or Trump-bashing. Less variety than on Yt, less fact-based.

This app works amazingly well. The only thing that I think is lacking is a comment section.
