Neo Studio

App is very unstable and writing is very slow on screen. Also switching to another app gives enlargment of writing and double images. It is very disturbing in the use of Neo and smartpen. Please take immediate action to solve this unacceptable situation!

Since the update last week, the very stable and reliable app gives us a lot of problems. It is used on daily basis in our company so we hope for improvements. After every switch in apps on the screens only half of the page is shown.

Don't understand why people are rating this app so low? App works great, auto synchronization works all the time and the Lamy X Neo theme looks nice in dark mode! :) Would have been great if the developer added a widget function to the app, who knows maybe with the next update:

Still not the same functionality neo notes had after more then a year after stopping the support of Neo notes. If you take the needs of the customer seriously I would suggest add this functionality again. You even advertised on the website still with neonote and the sync with evernote.

This new software still does not have functionality which it had in the old version. I bought the pen with the functions included. With is move to a new name a lot of features are gone and therefore i feel i am mislead by buying this pen. The evernote sync was one of the main reasons buying this pen and related software. We are now many months later and no improvement. I would not recommend buying this pen as you do not get reliable support.

Developer discontinues Neo Notes and replaces it with Neo Studio without any external storage or backup function. You can transfer files from Neo Notes by exporting them to Google Drive and import them in Neo Studio. But from then on it stays on your iOS device. Backup is only included in the back-up from the entire phone. So not practical; when you lose your phone you have a kind of problem, because you don’t have your notes anymore until you have an new phone and installed the back-up from the previous one. So functions which were previous available in Neo Notes such as file transfer using iTunes, back-up in Google Drive and automatic upload to Evernote are all missing in Neo Studio! Only thing left is sharing a page one by one by email or after transcribing a page share it with the general sharing function on your phone You have to switch to Neo Studio because they stopped technical support and security updates on Neo Notes. And when I complain, they do respond politely and quickly, but also come up with the lame excuse that they are sorry for this inconvenience and it has the developers' attention. Also strange is that on Dutch website they still say Neo Notes is the app you have to use....

Useless app

This app is lacking the backup function that was part of Neo Notes app. Without this the risk is extremely high of loosing all data when changing mobile device, and the data cannot be shared over multiple devices. This app does not deliver it’s promise that it fully replaces the discontinued Neo Notes app.

I use a neo smart pen with several notebooks. When the notebooks are the same please be aware that you need to activate the right notebook. Best is to buy the N College Notebook (3 pcs), these will be recognized as different books. For the rest I have no complaints at all. Handwriting recognition is accurate and quick. I do not synchronize with Evernote or other service. There is an export function to Google Drive. I have the M1+ pen which is one of my best purchases of 2020. I also have the M2 but prefer use of the M1+.

The app requires my Apple ID and a google identity. This is very unreasonable. I paid some 150Euro for the pen. I should be allowed to keep my notes private. Further, it does not really sync across devices.
