Like many, my mortgage company sold my loan to these inept clowns. Immediately after taking over, Newrez puts an erroneous lender placed flood policy on my account - emptying my Escrow and raising my mortgage monthly payment. As I was paying for my own policy out of pocket - after months of being directed by Newrez to send proof of insurance to an innocuous email - and nothing getting resolved I’m still waiting for refunds. This app is no help. Just another lame piece of tech masquerading as customer support.
Logging in should be better crafted. Go through logging in, out of band code to set up Face ID is great. Why do you have to go through that process every time you log on to pay your bill? Want to pay additional principle? Cool. Once you enter the added principal why not show the total payment being made? Looking forward to improvements in a future release.
My mortgage was sold to these scammers. Suddenly I can’t sign in on this scam app or the website to pay my mortgage. Only way to pay is on my phone. They’re intentionally denying access to people’s loan information to change the terms of the loan without people’s knowledge. I’m smelling a class action lawsuit, and hopefully criminal prosecutions. The Justice Department should be investigating these crooks!
App seems to have lost my loan. Start the app, asks to find loan. I enter the info and response is ‘Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.” I’ve tried deleting app and reinstalling. Been this way for last week. Be nice if you could fix this. Update: Did send message to customer support email address. No response and, of course, no fix. Anyone home there?
I was recently transferred to this company. The app is useless. I have never been able to get beyond my login screen to access my new loan number.
Absolute worst experience by far! We should have a say in who our mortgage is sold to!! We have never had an issue, we never missed a payment, all was perfect. Then we got a letter saying that we were moving to newrez and if we were on autopay that nothing will change and all info would transfer seamlessly. NOT!!! We were on autopay, the money was never taken out. Checked the newrez app and it said nothing was set up!!! So now we missed a payment. Then I added the bank info but missed A SINGLE NUMBER and they charged me a fee for being late and for NSF! I called, emailed, and chatted and they refused to remove it. Now three years in with newrez, they still wont let us set up autopay. Customer service is TERRIBLE. Management is TERRIBLE. I hate this company. Thought seriously about refinancing just to get away from them!!! RESPONSE: I received an email from them asking for more information and my phone number. But no way to respond to them. What. Information. Do. You. Need???? And how I get it to you???
I’m a shellpoint customer now and app doesn’t work. Voicing my frustration along with the rest. I would like access to my loans again.
So disappointed my loan was transferred to NewRez. Their app is garbage and offers nothing to the user. No tools, no ability to track aromatization, no detailed information. Just a place for you to give them your money and find out how much money they still want from you. Really pathetic NewRez can’t do better.
So far the transfer from my old company that was purchased from Newrez has been good. The transfer was clean and the app download and log in was quick and easy and all my info is already uploaded for payments. Why are people leaving such negative comments? It concerns me definitely. Should I be worried and try to refinance with my local credit union that is doing very well?
