Nexar Connect

I was excited to get my dashcam, but the set up was riddled with errors, app crashes, and lack of good customer support. In a world of “out of the box” readiness, there was a lack of good instruction on how to set up the camera. Every time I tried to join my app with the dashcam , the app crashed. My wife set up the camera on her phone in the end. She is running iOS 18 vs ios17 (on my phone), so I’m thinking nexar have bugs in their app. The functionality in the app is underwhelming. You only get clips of your drive, not the full videos. You have to request download of the high resolution clips you see on their ads. This request can only be completed the next time you’re in the car with the dashcam. When my car is off, the dash cam does not stream, and in my app, it gives a “404 error” on the stream page. Again, is this an app bug with ios17? Overall, average product and app with good marketing.

Beam 2: The most gorgeous dash camera on the market. I think $10 a month is more than fair for live-streaming and remote viewing/all of the automated features (which have all been working great). My only ask is for a mass-delete option to be added to clear out the cache of old footage. Thank you!

It’s annoying that I have to manually connect dashcam to stream. This app needs to connect automatically as advertised.

I tried several times to connect my Nexar Beam2 and I'm at the point where the camera is ready to connect to my phone but the app keeps on closing. This needs to be rectified or I'm looking to buy a different brand of dashcam

Works fine, but I wish I could ask Siri to make a video clip, and then have it clip the 30 seconds before my request.

After less than a year. The “classic” app won’t connect to my Nexar camera. the Nexar Connect app won’t work either. I am livid at the devs of this product.

Onboarding went smooth enough but the device location hasn't updated since the initial setup on 12/1 (9 days ago.) When I complete a drive, the location never changes and if I select a previous drive, I receive a message that says "The route is currently unavailable." I can view the Timelapse recordings of my drives but if I select the live stream option (3 minutes) and then end the session, a few minutes later, I receive a notification that the camera is recording and it continues to record for hours. This is on an iPhone 16 Pro Max running iOS 18.2, build 22C150.

It says videos unavailable, but Drive data exist. What I’m gonna do with the Drive date of the video is unavailable. I don’t get it. I’m also paying $10 a month still having issues with the recording spent $400 on a camera.

Basically forced to pay the $11 subscription for anything to work (which it doesn’t anyways) can never connect to it remotely ever regardless of where the car is parked AND it records when it feels like it. Not a good dashcam at all if you’re trying to protect yourself from others…

The initial app had its hiccups. Now, remote streaming works fine and finally there’s an option to locally stream. Seeing these enhancements overtime for my Nexar one pro have been great. The only thing that would make this perfect is the ability to make the dashcam connect to my home wifi. That way videos that are needing to be cloud stored can load much faster.
