Nextcloud Notes

The app loses connection with the server quite a lot and then cannot recover. The only way to connect again is by restarting the app but unsaved notes are then lost. The offline mode is even worse, notes often do not sync correctly to the server and in the case you don’t have a connection to the server you’re presented with an old version of your note (that you updated on your phone to begin with).

After the last update the app has been running smooth for me. UI feels native now and the sync to my server is fast and works as expected.

I cannot imagine this application underwent any functional testing. Definitely not with, at least, two major Nextcloud server versions 26 and 27. Doesn’t sync notes!

Not the quality I would expect from a paid app. Does not sync my notes properly and crashes. Needs update

I wouldn’t recommend this app because is sometime doesn’t save your note and you lose the text!

CloudNotes is a brilliant solution for text-based markup notes. I’ve been using this app for some three months now and it has proven to be not only functionally satisfactory but very reliable as well. I moved from SimpleNote to CloudNotes only because I like to host my own data (on NextCloud). Although I had no complaints about SimpleNote, I found CloudNotes to be even better. Especially the formatting while editing markup text is very convenient. Compared to “all media” note taking solutions such as Evernote and OneNote, CloudNotes might seem somewhat limited. Being all too familiar with these alternatives, I find the simplicity of markup-note taking to be refreshingly easy and pleasing. If you run your own NextCloud you should definitely try this one.

Has been a joy to use this app, but this version really destroyed every joy. The cursor jumps forward and back and deletes text at random!! How frustrating!! Is it that hard to create a note app??

Many sync errors. Not much functionality, e.g. no full text search. Low value for money.
