NHK WORLD-JAPAN

Love watching NHK Japan, but I find hard to hear the content of the programs, would love to have English subtitles to better understand them. Also It could use the tvOS default player. The current one doesn’t let me rewind the program after a while.

I love this app but recently it keeps dropping image quality for on demand programs to a point that it is almost impossible to watch. Image quality suddenly improves only to drop again a few minutes later. Live programs do not suffer from the same problem. My broadband internet connection is very fast and is not contributing to the issue.

The app is really good but it needs a few things: It could use Apple’s “playback UI” which is probably easier to implement than the current playback and much more familiar to the users since most streaming platforms have implemented it. There could be a way to play all My List videos one after another. The biggest missed opportunity: have a way to access the Japanese language content available on NHK World Japan website (on the日本語テレビ tab). All the 海外向け日本語サービス videos (both 見逃し配信 and 同時配信) should be available in the app. Specially in tvOS.

App does not broadcast to chromecast. It tries to connect and crashes.

I've been using it for some time and I love it! However, since two days ago it doesn't open. I've tried to delete it and then download it again, but it didn't work. How can I make it work?
