Nighty Night Forest

I bought this app when my daughter was a few months old and now she’s 5. I just reintroduced this nightly routine and it still puts her to sleep like a charm.

The original had a simple charm that all my kids loved. They found it to be soothing & relaxing. The illustrations were richly detailed with sweet simple animations. The woodland version has none of that. The illustrations are the same piss poor stylized garbage that’s everywhere these days. The app is no longer relaxing, the characters animations are loud & obnoxious. My kids don’t like it nearly as well. I wish I could get a refund.

Their other 2 apps are better for Night Night because you can see the animals go to sleep, there are more animals and the snow vs. no snow options are way better. They animals aren’t nearly as fluid here as the other ones and are more interactive by far. These animals are nice don’t get me wrong and they have done a good job with them, thus the 2 stars instead of 1….however it’s no wonder they got my money up front because it’s not worth the $4 for this one. I paid for all the other animals on the other ones and it was totally worth it however I don’t think this one will get played nearly as much.

What a beautiful fun engaging app!

I thought this app should be a compilation of bedtime stories. Instead it describes each animal and has you turn off their light to go to bed. I want my money back! I paid $3.99 for that??!!!

This app (and its companion apps) have been a great addition to our bedtime ritual. So cute and calming. One request to the developers: please please please put an option to select auto play on the main title screen. All the other apps have that option, but with the foresters I have to navigate to the credits page and back. Only a minor annoyance and definitely doesn’t detract from the beauty of the app, but it’s we all have hopes and dreams... Thanks!

Although you might think you are purchasing all of the animals in this app when you buy it or when you purchase the bundle beware! There are many animals that you will not have access to unless you make additional purchases. For this price for a silly little app that you will spend about three minutes using you really should have access to all of the animals. Requiring someone to spend another dollar 99 to purchase three animals and then another dollar 99 to purchase three more animals is ridiculous. These should all be included when you purchase the app.

I like it because it is fun and when I tap them, they do something. And I know there are some weird-looking houses in this game.

This app is a wonderful part of my children’s evening. My only request comes from my oldest child. Make the next one dinosaurs!
