As for now, for all the Leafs manufactured before 2017 the service has been depricated. Therefore, this app makes no sense anymore.
The app worked great for about a day until I was logged out and unable to log back in. I’m able to log into the website but that takes 4 days to load any information. The app says that I’m using an invalid login but I’m using the exact information as the website. Completely useless now. The app is a huge part in the decision making when buying a smart EV. Now I plug my car in and hope for the best.
Two major flaws … - car connectivity is slow & unreliable - the app doesn’t reflect the real state of the car when Comms is poor but give the impression that it’s connected.
Update 19/01/22. I couldn’t connect, so I contacted Megan in Customer Services in Dublin. She and her colleagues persisted until the problem was resolved, Very slow. Inaccurate usage records at the best of times. Can’t even log on today. Tells me details are wrong - they’re not. No password reset function. Dreadful rubbish Can’t log on agin today. Dreadful 27 February 2019 Still almost useless. Absolutely no improvement 05 September 2019 Worst app I’ve ever used. Can’t connect at all today. 08 October 2019 Winter is coming and I can’t start the heater remotely. It just gets worse. I assume they don’t even read the reviews. 10 October 2019 Looking at screen for 10 mins “sending request” then: “this task can’t be performed. Please contact Nissan” 10 October (again) Still trying to connect one hour later 20 March 2020 It hasn’t worked for about 2 weeks. Rubbish!
This app is great when it works, but it hasn’t worked in ages. Just says “This service cannot be provided” all the time recently. No point in having the ability to turn things on remotely if the app to do it doesn’t work.
You go spend 25k + on a smart electric car and Nissan gets some lad with a windows 95 computer in North Korea to develop the app. It’s a joke, obsolete layout, no integration with smart tech like Siri or iOS shortcuts and it at best connects to the car about 50% of the time.
Not working (at least with my Nissan Leaf) since the 3.5.1 update. The only work around is to use the web page instead. The app is very slow and not very great but the speed is mostly due to the restrictions of the car modem (2G only)
Does not work - really poor EV app
This app does not work properly it stoped for me for over a year ago,and it appears to be global.....shame in you Nissan.....get it sorted ASAP
