nkoda: sheet music

Reading these reviews, one might get the impression of this app being less than useless and run by a gang of thugs. My personal experience is quite different. While the app is clunky and at times unintuitive, the sheer volume of scores and publishers made available through a subscription is astonishing. As a conductor and artistic director, access to a large portion of the great publishing houses’ scores is beyond valuable. Especially the easy access to contemporary scores is phenomenal: one can browse and peruse at leisure, to make a solid decision on whether or not to purchase and program certain pieces. This is Nkoda’s greatest strength, as the public domain library is already grandly organized by IMSLP. All in all: an invaluable resource for anyone that works in the field of artistic production and performance.

FINALLY unsubscribed. It was only because I had no money in my account that I was able to decipher their unnecessarily complicated unsubscribing procedure. Finding the button to unsubscribe was like unearthing an entrenched mole in MI6. What a useless, money-grabbing bunch of anal-retentive shysters. They make it virtually impossible to unsubscribe through the conversational means either out of ineptitude or pure deception. Or both! And why did I want to unsubscribe in the first place? Within the first 12 mins I found the web design to be clunky and convoluted supported by a next to useless premise. They’re the coagulated gunk that congregate around the nozzle of a soap dispenser. They’re the scab on the ass of progress. Good riddance!

As a Film and TV composer, it is common to write in different composition styles. Utilizing all the beautiful techniques of the masters. Nkoda provides me this world of historical ideas and composition craftsmanship. Making me to learn every time I dive into a score. Hopefully the Nkoda catalog will grow extensively! In the future.

What is the use if these scores cnnot be edited or transposed, i understand copyright problems and stuff but not being able to store the music in forScore or other programs makes this one useless

Very unreliable. Good features etc. But imagine you have a concert and all the Scores with your annotations are gone or you cannot log in.

But it takes forever to load, constantly logs you out, and is just a miserable user experience. And it costs $10 a month… they really need to fix this app to justify the cost

This is a horrible app, the search engine is horrible, you can’t find the specific piece that you are looking for. The login in process is the worst that I’ve seen, it freezes so many time that it took me half an hour to register. Mostly terrible part is, it does not allow people outside UK to download their music, then why bother charging me dollars for this? I would give it negative 5 if it allows me to.

Fix this.

No one is there to call or email. They keep trying to charge my card even though I cancelled and requested my account be deleted. Not a good business model. I believe these people are scammers.
