Doesn’t change
Had this a few months and was using it well. Also paid for alerts and extra. Suddenly stopped working and no updates the the oviation map and forecasts for 5 days.

Aurora Alerts is an app designed to monitor real-time auroral activity and push alert to let you know if there may be aurora borealis (northern lights) visible tonight. Whenever you are home or away, Aurora Alerts will notify you if the possibility of seeing the northern lights exists.
Main features:
- short-term aurora forecast for next hour with weather conditions and moon Illumination
- long-term aurora forecast for the next 3 days with weather conditions and 27 days
- show probability to see Northern Lights based on your or custom location
- current auroral activity (based on observed and predicted Kp Indices from U.S. Air Force Weather Agency)
- weather forecast to check visibility conditions before planning to see northern lights
- solar wind data directly from the NASA satellite (wind speed, Bz, Bt and density)
- unlike many other apps, it uses the local time instead of UTC
Alerts:
- when northern lights may be visible at current or custom location at the horizon or overhead
- Kp index reaches chosen value
- solar wind data reach chosen values
- you can filter out alerts based on current cloud cover or time of the day

Absolutely useless. Even the paid one is waste of money.

Waste money to get the additional forecast.

We couldn’t see the lights but wanted to know where to drive to to see them - this app just tells you you can’t see them where you are at that moment in time - well guess what you can look at the sky to get that info
Great tool for forecasting
Used the app for two days and found it very accurate. Great job guys
Great App.
Very user friendly app and highly recommended. We’ve been running tours in Scandinavia for 8 years now and find this to be one the most accurate sources on the market. Of course you do have to corroborate data from multiple sources to maximise accuracy but this app should be one of the sources in your pocket.

Latest up date keeps crashing on my iPhone 5s. Latest update has it working again
Bit of a rip off...
Just paid £10 for life time alerts. Then want another payment for every other single option they have ? 😳🙁

Love this app, try it out!
I think it's all obvious from the screenshots what this app provides and how it looks so I'll just add 2 details about it. 1. It contains very informative tooltips for all these key metrics it tracks (what it is, how it affects your chances of observing the aurora, etc.), which I find very handy and user-friendly. 2. I filed a minor UI bug report to the developer, and guess what, within merely half an hour, I received his response and the bug was fixed! How smooth is that :)
