Notes Plus

I’ve been using this App for 8+ years. Like all apps it’s has had some bugs. However, I’ve emailed the developer about the bugs and found the developer very responsive and engaged with me to get a full understanding of the bugs. This is hands-down the best hand writing app with best organizational capabilities you can get. There is a learning curve to fully understand how to use Notes+ so don’t be discouraged by the negative reviews.

Have been using (and loving) this app for years but for the past two months or so, it is either crashing when opening or it freezes and I cannot do anything. I have years of work locked up in it!

Further to my review yesterday, big surprise…..the developer actually listened to my complaint and those recently of others citing the same problems. The developer must have worked all nite to fix the bugs. Many kudos to the developer! Notes Plus is back to being great again!

It crashes all the time and sometimes some pages that I wrote disappear suddenly! Disaster!

i used this app for a while and i rly liked it, i am an engineering student and had all my classes neatly separated with folders and notes. randomly during class, it glitched and i lost all my files. i can’t open the app. i’ve restarted my ipad and the app multiple times but im left with a black screen with random gadgets at the top that don’t move or function. the app doesn’t respond at all. i am very disappointed and just want my notes back :/

Overall I love the app but it's buggy... Sometimes when I open one book a different one opens. I password lock a folder, it turns out they all have the same password. I've tried uninstalling - restarting etc. and it's the same buggy, buggy program. I hate writing this review because the developer has been great but I have to warn anyone who is a writer to consider something different. MrJeuqe. Update. I used the program for years writing a very personal journal along with work and other writings. I thought they where all safe until recently I opened the app and found all my material, years of writing all gone and no way to retrieve them I’m so disappointed I don’t know what to do.

I used this app all throughout college (2017-2021) but had to ditch it for Good Notes when it became too glitchy to use. I’ve checked back periodically to see if the support team has fixed things because I honestly miss this app. I’ve tried all the note-taking apps and still miss this one. It used to be so seamless, and I loved that my handwriting looked like it does on actual paper. No other note taking app is able to capture my actual handwriting. I worked with the support team some years ago when I lost some journals due to the glitching. They told me my journals were corrupted and couldn’t be recovered. I see from the reviews that many users have lost work. Not only this, but just writing is glitchy. It isn’t as smooth as it once was; there is a very noticeable lag that messes with the flow, making my handwriting look odd. The strike-out feature doesn’t work anymore. It’s so sad to see that the developers let this app go. I think it could have been bigger than Good Notes / Notability. I hope to see it return one day. I would try their newer app, Notes Plus X, but I have been seeing reviews outlining the same exact issues. I will not give any more money to these developers until I see improvements.

I have been using this app for eight or so years. I have hundreds if not, thousands of pages related to my work, my business, journaling, notes on books, notes on ideas, paperwork for my children, etc. As of two weeks ago when I launch it, I get a blank black screen with some odd characters at the top. I have reset the iPad and done all the steps that Apple recommends for non-functioning apps. I’ve also emailed the developer through multiple different avenues multiple times. No response! So disappointed that I’ve lost eight years of my written life.

Customer service is terrible. Gives an email back t no one answers you. The help section will s not good for beginners. I used my apple pen and hand wrote my notes, was able to convert page to text. But nowhere can I find how to save it that way.

The idea behind this app is fantastic. Most of the app is functional, however, in the event that you have to reinstall the app from iCloud, your information will not download and install properly. I have been using this app for 10+ years and cannot retrieve my notes now. I would not recommend changing devices if you were using this app. alternatively, you can store your files on dropbox but if you decide to use iCloud instead, don’t plan on backing up your files and retrieving them in the future.
