Terrible update I’ve got to go looking all over my devices for my files. Menus and options are not being read anymore by my VoiceOver screen reader on my iPhone or iPad. Handwriting is useful but the app entering notes automatically when I am scrolling around and can’t make it accessible like it used to be isn’t!
The new handwriting option is total rubbish, and should not be charged for, as an in-app purchase. Most of the promises in the description are broken, and do not actually function. If you want to learn how to input your music in nothing faster than a quarter note, never need to erase a note, and have Notion decide what you really meant to compose, then fire ahead and waste €8. I am seeking a refund, as the item simply does not match the sales description, and borders on being a fraudulent in-app purchase. Presonus apps are not inexpensive, and need to improve a whole lot, if they ever want to see my money again. I also hate having to award this even one star, in order to post this review. Shameful sales pitch.
So I tried to open up a composition of mine after updating the app and it crashed, when I re-opened it, it had deleted all of my compositions. Years of work wasted, not all were backed up either. Avoid this app. It was so good before as well. Really angry now.
This ipad app gets better and better with every update. Its amazing value in comparison to desktop scoring programs.
Good The app is pretty much the same as the desktop version but is scaled down so you at this point in time you do need the desktop app to attempt a score fit for publishing. Other than that , for work horse score editing while mobil, this is an app well worth getting in to and can only improove. Its two way compatible with the desktop app, both using the same file and not a 'lite' file as created by many Apple apps. It looks good and support for the app is excellent. Its very intuitive for someone who has worked with any of the DAWs with its score lines behaving like tracks and a mixer Bad Few bugs ( eg the Title function in the mobile version does not work properly there are a score features missing from both apps that are available in the Sibelius/ Finale...thes have been highlighted in the forums wishlist .. I miss being able to dictate the split point on, say, a piano LH /RH stave you can't copy text or lyrics from stave to stave on the mobile version
The mobile app I'm sure it has all the features but because it's mobile it's incredibly hard to use. I mean sure it would be cool if I could use all those features but it's phone, and just the size of it makes it impossible to do. I would say 85% of what it's marketed as comfortably.
This app is virtually unusable. I used it to painfully enter a piano part which I was going to use to play on flute, and transpose to sax. 1. It doesn’t support grace notes. At all. Looked for that in the notes pallet. Not there. 2. Since the piano part had notes below C, I thought I’d use this to enter the part and transpose it up an octave. When I did, all accidentals were removed! Trying to re-enter them was impossible. Just. Don’t. Bother. With. This.
Please fix copying and pasting for orchestral scores. It’s entirely unreliable. Also,Sometimes you have to restart the app because the copy button just stops working
I can’t hear the audio and I have my volume as high as it can go and it won’t work
This app is pretty good. I would like to see quad toms or marching bass drums because when I try to make marching things I’m using the concert toms as quads 😂.
