NSF Science Zone

As a teacher i like how the topics can support some of what we discuss in class. The videos are well done and interesting and it gives kids something to watch that they actually want to watch. Plus it gives me an actual reason for them to pull out their phones.

There are mobile sites that have great information but the way the content is displayed makes it hard to engage students. The NSF mobile app is designed well, offers easy to find information and is easy to navigate which makes it more fun to work with.

It's not always easy to find a mobile app that has both a great design and great information!! But the NSF mobile app does it so well that kids are exploring before they realize they are learning. The wheel is fun for kids to explore ideas and topics. The best thing is that the information is that it is both relevant and easy to understand.

If you say the word ‘science’ to a kid their eyes roll into the back of their heads and they groan. Until you tell them the NSF site is on their phones!! This not only gets their attention, but it gets them excited to check it out. The site does the rest because it makes the topics jump to life and suddenly kids are engaged and interested.

App installed properly but when opening the App it crashes. I am using iPad Pro 10.5 with iOS 12

A beautiful application for science lovers.

This is just an unbelievable app! The sheer elegance and beauty of the design will just blow you away, and if that doesn't the content definitely will! The design is a panoramic view, like you're viewing from inside a globe and the articles are placed as panels. The only drawback I can think of is that the app is data intensive and it warns you right at the start that huge amounts of data will need to be downloaded. If you want to keep abreast of the latest in the world of science during your free time, there is nothing that will make you happier than clicking the install button. Definitely my favorite app in the iPad so far!
