This app is rapidly setting the bar for what Catalyst should have available to we the players (aside from physical books!) There are behaviors within the app that perhaps I don’t understand or are glitchy but the stream of updates is steady. Today I noticed the force packs list, which I’m assuming is new because I’ve been slowly organizing my mechs in that fashion using “organizations”. This is always my go to for preparing for a game. No doubt this App will inevitably meet all our needs, though I’ll surely keep my painful spreadsheet as well! Thank you for your work keep it up!

Love the app, but there still some bugs. When making formations, it doesn’t always recognize that you’ve met the criteria. For example; I created a heavy striker lance and it was saying that I did not have at lest 2 Mechs with the Striker/Skirmisher role and none had a long range damage of >=1. All my Mechs did long range damage and there were Striker/Skirmisher units in the lance.

As a frequent battletech player, this app is incredible for easily creating custom mechs for my games. The app is clearly still in development (e.g. typos, bugs, app occasionally crashing, no support for aerospace units, etc.) but for what it is I am thoroughly impressed. Hoping that the app continues to be worked on and made even better than it already is!

The program is great. Does what you expect and does it well. I love the ability to full custom build mechs. We play in conjunction with the TTRPG so being able to personalize is the most important feature. Had a slight problem displaying the mech sheets and I reached out to the developer. I sent the help request at around 1 PM on a Saturday and it was fixed within a hour. Best customer support I have seen in over ten years.

Enjoy using this so far for me has and vehicles. But there is no conventional or aerotech fighters yet. Hope they will be included one day Hoping you put aircraft in one day soon.

This app has been so helpful as a new Battletech player (~7 months, 18 miniatures). It’s so easy to organize and reorganize formations once you put your mechs in, and it’s so nice that the app adds up the BV for you and shows you pretty much every stat imaginable. Having an easily changeable format for lances and companies is a life changer. It’s also fun to get into an in-universe mindset when making units. It’s also super neat that it has both classic and AS elements.

I played Battletech a long time ago but fell away from the game for almost 30 years. I have have generally avoided building some starter scenarios for my local friends due to the difficulty in building and collating several units for my friends to pick from for a starter game. With this app I built 6 custom groups of mechs (from 1 Madcat, to a lance of smaller mechs) without any real difficulty. And now I just have to hit "print" and the app will print Total War full Mech data sheets for each unit! I like that I can upload my personal inventory using the scanner in my phone. I have not built any organizations yet. There seem to be a lot of weird custom units in the search engine that I don't understand. Not a problem for a veteran player, but I had to go back to Sarna.net to check some load outs that were different for no discernible reason. But those mechs tend to be easy to identify for veteran players. There are also tabs like organizations and such that I THINK I understand, but I'm not clear on. I missed everything after the Clan Invasion! Maybe a tutorial or easy to find read me file would be a help? I highly recommend this app for any Battletech player. It's made jumping back in that much easier!

i love using this app to build lances and find specific mechs, because it has detailed information on most of them it seems. however, i notice that the “advanced search” function as an issue with filtering for specific weapons. The Weapons search field reads “Weapon Help: This field has been disabled” Additionally, I notice that some times certain mechs have incorrect weapons info, such as Black Knight BL-9-KNT, which is listed on this app with a Targeting Computer when the official source doesn’t list it as such. This has created issues when using this app in a public setting.

Brilliant tool for the Battletech table top. Unfortunately, it crashed 3(!!) times in the first five minutes of use. Really wish it was more stable.
