So close to brilliant

I recently downloaded this app and it really has a lot of functions! The widgets works and I’m pleased with them. But I would reaaally need the widgets to show at my home screen as *widgets*! This would make the app complete. I barely check my notification centre, and I really hoped that you could see the widgets as iOS 14 widgets.

Broken

If it was working as intended I would've happily purchased a subscription, but this app is broken. I downloaded it to show two things on my Apple Watch: the number of pull requests on a few GitHub reps when at work, and number of viewers on Twitch when at home. Neither work. I can choose my username for GitHub but then it says I have no organizations (I work 8 hours a day at one). As for Twitch, for whatever reason there's inputs for both "account" and "user." I can log in and pick my account but apparently I have no user. At that point my head imploded and decided to write it's first ever App Store review: feels rushed, is broken, needs testing.

Widget not updating

Ok app otherwise but widget doesn't seem to update independently

Warning

When connecting Numerics to google analytics, why do you ask permission to view my email, show my files in google drive, show and edit my spreadsheets and view my YouTube account? I gave the application all of these permissions and added a page view counter to my Apple Watch. The counter didn’t refresh automatically even with hours between the manual refresh. WARNING everyone this app doesn’t seem to be very legitimate. Update: I am a software engineer and I know you’re talking nonsense trying to explain to me as if I wouldn’t understand. “If it asked for permissions for each of the Google Apps separately, duplicate Google accounts would have to be added, creating account clutter and confusion.” Are you kidding me? Why are you lying to us? It’s extremely easy for developers to request additional scopes with incremental authorization. Either you’re just lazy or you’re doing something shady with your users data.

Not finished

No support for Dropbox or Excel is a bummer. I had to go through a web app that synced my dropbox files with my google drive. Even then, this app wouldn't automatically update itself according to the spreadsheet, instead I have to manually update the file path each time my spreadsheet gets updated. Pretty embarrassing, especially when the price tag is 10$.

A vital app for all businesses

I run a startup company and Cynapse is vital for me to keep track of all business related statistics such as webpage analytics, Facebook and Twitter followers - even internal performance indicators from Google docs.

Subscription now required - another one bites the dust

Was shaping up to be a great app, but very recently introduced a subscription fee. I've been a long time user, but no consideration for existing users with the new subscription. Was preparing to create and rollout multiple dashboards with several widgets each but am now limited to only 3 metrics without a subscription! So disappointed...

$20/mo for what?

Seriously? $20.00 a month!!! This is insane, the app is literally locked behind the paywall, none of the features work without this obnoxious subscription

Forced to pay steep monthly price tag

This app now forces you to pay a steep monthly price tag. Would prefer one time cost like other apps.

Shockingly bad - is this app just a data mining scam?

Couldn’t get a single API to work properly. Tried a dozen different services and none could get data imported by this app. What a letdown! If you’re reading this, then you are better off using your own server for a kiosk or conference room. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this app were just a data mining scam. The App Store should really do a better job blocking privacy and data leak threats like this app.
