I used to love scrolling through this app finding new recipes , (and cooking them of course), but the new version has moving videos, and they're ugly and off putting. It used to be where I went to take the edge off the news, but no way now.
The search functionality is really limited and the meta data connected to the recipes isn’t great meaning it’s difficult to find a relevant recipe.
There’s a great variety of delicious looking recipes, but having to manually convert from the US units (seriously, a ”cup”?) puts a barrier to entry. It shouldn’t be on those creating the recipes to amend, this is something the app itself should be able to do. Put a toggle, and yes fine have a warning saying ”measurements and units were automatically converted, please double check if unsure”. Then it becomes useful for a non-US audience.
No way to convert recipes to grams from cups. Audio doesn’t play on music apps because of the videos that auto play on this app that you can’t disable. Very annoying.
The best food app. There are so many recipes and so many tips. Everything I’ve made has been a success.
It’s such a well thought through app. Even though I’m vegan, the number of suitable or easily adaptable recipes is as good as I could expect.
The only thing I cook from, super handy and intuitive.
I’m dying to go back to my cookbooks but every time I try there’s a new NYT food recipe to look at.
This isa good app, with a big fail: lack of ability to adjust font size for those of us with less than perfect eyesight. This should be an easy thing to do.
I’m not v interested in cooking so this gives me a lot of ideas especially for veggie food. I like having own library of recipes and being able to organise them into subjects separate from partner who uses the app too as part of NYT sub.
