As someone with depression & anxiety I thought this would really help me - NOPE boy was I wrong. During an anxiety attack I tried to use it for the first time. 5 hours of waiting - talked to 4 representatives all told me to wait for them to connect me to a specialist and only to be disconnected cus of the stupid app mechanism/ manually (it shows that the person logged out of chat). The idea of the app is a really good and could really benefit a lot of people - but its poor execution and design just makes it pointless and counter-productive :( caused me MORE stress. Please have it work like it’s advertised or just take it down.
Great app that allows seamless and easy communication with NYU’s wellness exchange.
Conversations via chat cut off after two hours. I’m suicidal and I had to end my conversation with a representative I’d been talking things through with for two hours because of the app’s programming. Won’t be contacting the almighty and revered Wellness Exchange ever again
This app is the worth and it a total disrespect for NYU students! It belongs to 1980’s. I’m really worried for NYU student and community needing help from the wellness. It really should concern anybody how they are so bad. Nothing helps no matter how many complaints one addresses to them.
The whole window is weirdly placed when I use it in my iPhone XR. Please fix this. This app doesn’t respond when I tap
I tried to test out NYU Wellness Exchange and I was disconnected twice on purpose (I can see that the other person ended the chat) and this was right after asking me a few survey questions both times. My guess is they try to ask people survey questions so that it “counts” and NYU Wellness Exchange feels like they’re having some tangible impact. No mention of a counselor whatsoever and it was very displeasing and disheartening, and my sympathy goes out to those who actually do need help and aren’t able to get the help they need because NYU Wellness Exchange is whack
