Save time and money by making your own passport photos whenever you need in 5 easy steps:
1. Take photo by aligning face where indicated
2. Select a paper size (availables sizes are: 5R, 6R, 8R, A4 and A5) and tap 'next'
3. Review final photo by zooming and moving it around
4. Tap 'share' (bottom center) to print or share as an image or PDF or;
5. Tap 'download' (bottom right) to save it to your device as single image or collage
This application complies with the passport photo dimensions required by the New Zealand Passport Office and will generate ready-to-print high resolution photos.
Once you're done, take it to a photo print service or machine (or use your own photo printer if you own one) and print it using the same paper size as you have selected in the app.
A few extra features include:
- Easy-to-follow help and example within app
- Minimum zoom level to ensure photos will never be out of perspective
- Manual zoom adjustment when using rear camera
- Ability to crop photo picked from library
- Ability to review photo by zooming it in and out

Instructions - what instructions

At this point cannot use as a digital format as the picture shows - there maybe a way but it is certainly not obvious. So at this time i have nothing i can use —

Doesn’t print 4x6

Maybe state what photo sizes (5x7 is minimum) Also printing out the 5x7 on 4x6 didn’t work because image got scaled

Crashing with latest update

This app has been amazing until the latest update just last night and now it crashes as soon as the photo is taken. :-(

Easy to use

Found this app helpful. Used it for 4 of our family passports and only had one issue with photo which was more of how we took the photo versus the app. Would recommend.

Photo was rejected by DIA

When you align your face in the frame, it looks good and almost correct. However the issue is that DIA reject the photo because it’s taken as a “selfie”. As per the DIA docs, the close up smartphone photo distorts the face, especially when aligned at close view with the guides. I needed a friend to manually take another portrait photo from 1m. I cropped that to 3:4 resolution on my computer and the second photo was accepted.

Doesn’t allow you to take and save a digital photo at 250kb which is the minimum standard for a picture... useless

What a waste of money. Does not work. See review below.

Not worth it

I messed around forever trying to make this work..... If another person takes the picture, the phone ends up too close to your face and you get an enormous nose, and also a shadow from the phone. If you use the selfie camera, the file size may be too small to upload for a NZ passport. I ended up getting a photo done at the pharmacy. They checked the photo and emailed it to me - much quicker and less hassle in the end.

Ok - not ideal

Lets you take photos that are acceptable for online nz passport, but cant zoom when taking photos - this means lens is so close to your face that the photo is out of perspective. Can use zoom on photos that have already been taken, but then the guide for face size is not available. I look forward to v2.
