Ocean Bottle

Love the bottle but the app is appalling. It’s possibly the slowest app I’ve ever used, each refill page takes ages to load and I spend more time watching the blue ring spin round than actually record the refill! I want to record all my refills but the app needs to be slicker to make it more appealing. I’ll definitely continue using the actual bottle… but… the app is definitely getting shelved.

Great idea, spends way too much time just spinning. A valuable enhancement would be a link to Apple health counting water consumed

This app is very slow. I want to quickly log that I’ve refilled my water. The app is slow and covered in tabs, squares, pages, just so much junk. Take a step back and just consider a sleek simple app to log the fact I have refilled my bottle. There is no widget to avoid opening the app. I hate doing it and will most likely stop soon. The bottle itself is fantastic. Great quality so don’t let it stop you buying one. The NFC is touch and go and sometimes doesn’t even open the app.

So much hassle to record a refill and therefore find plastic bottle collection. Have to load the full app, wade through the pop ups like ‘set a reminder…’ every time. Not sure if it’s intentionally difficult to use so people log refills less? If so it’s a bit of greenwashing. Make it simple - click the app, click refill, done. Or make a widget. App is awful.

I don’t want to open the app every time I want to record a fill I’d like to record a fill just with one single press on a widget next to my other widget apps

I can’t scan my bottle or “sticker”. Not sure I have a sticker even. The scan page just doesn’t do anything so I can’t register.

Not a great first impression. The link in the email to register won’t connect, despite resending a couple of times, so I can’t register my bottle or my flask or use the app. So fingers crossed I won’t need the 10 year warranty and that the ‘rewards’ weren’t worth having cos I can’t access either.

App doesn’t work either to allow me to login using verified email address or scan my bottle. Shame, I was really pleased about the thoughts that have gone into the bottle and the ethos behind repairing it etc. Sort the app out and it would be brilliant.

I love the idea that I could be finding collection of plastic, but hard to see recording refills on the app does that. Feels like it just wants to track me and make me interact with it more and more. Have tried adding refill locations to the app, but they never come up, so no good there either.
