Octordly: Daily Word Puzzle

Hi, the puzzle isn’t working right- no letters come up green or yellow. Uninstalled then reinstalled but still not working correctly. 7/5/2024

Most wordle games if you have two of the same letter it will let you know if there is 1 or both letter in the word With L words it shows there is 2 in the word but many times it’s just one L in the word

First time player but I am hooked

How hard is it to - Keep track or logically symbolize when there are multiples of a given letter in a word? Or Not use the same word on the same day?? Apparently pretty tough.

App is nice but often there are multiples of the same letter when the word only has one. This becomes discouraging and there are people who have opted out of the app because of this.

I cannot see my score unless I copy and paste into another app such as text messaging. There are also no settings or at least I cannot figure out where to click to find them. There is no explanation of how scoring is applied. I’ve found all 8 words with three rows remaining and scored lower than when I found 8 words with no remaining rows. The results indicate some numbers and some watches. I’m just a bit confused. The really annoying part for me, however, occurs when I’m playing the game and guess a word with a double letter. If the correct word only has a single letter it will still highlight the double letter yellow so I think I’ve got to guess a word with that double letter. That’s misleading and not how the other apps function. I’ll share an example - Correct word = NOISE Word Guess = INNER This game highlights yellow = INNE It should highlight yellow = INE I spent time trying to figure out a word with double N and was going too far off track. Thanks for considering fixing this.

It’s ok but i have a few issues 1) guesses don’t have to be words (eg AAAAA works) 2) it will highlight multiple boxes of the same letter in a guess even when the answer has that letter only once. (eg guess SALAD and it will highlight both AAs -one green one yellow- even tho the answer CADDY has only 1 A) 3) the word list could be tightened up- a lot of answers are just plural versions of words (eg BIRDS) -(this is more of a personal complaint that an actual game design flaw)

WORDLE on steroids fun!

I have screenshots of 5 instances where there were errors in the app.

Fun game but definitely some frustrations. First, if you mistype a word, it will still take it unlike Wordle or Quordle which only lets you enter a real word. So this can be super frustrating because you waste a turn if you mistype your guess (plus I suppose this means you could cheat by entering a bunch of letters). Second, some of the words are totally obscure. Like “haust”. Most dictionaries don’t even have it as a real word. I’ll still play it but not my favorite…
