Off Book! Pro

I had a friend recommended this to me for learning lines. Seems like a great tool if it worked. I created a title, added characters and scenes but it won’t let me record anything. The record page does not list the scenes. I read that the microphone may not be enabled, so I uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing. I went into the app settings on my phone and there is no such setting for a microphone. I tried reaching out to the developer but the website no longer exists. I will be requesting a refund.

I used this in july and august recorded all the scenes and used day of shows on the train to the theater. so convenient. Now after i input a new work , character, and scene lists it won’t let me record. even when i follow instructions as i always do. so one star because it doesn’t eork anymore

I found this app a few days ago and even though I’m only in my first show, I am finding it hugely helpful. My husband, who does so much more acting than I, loves it also! Thanks for creating this app that so many will find so useful!!

Bought this in the hope of being more efficient with my lines. It takes about 2 minutes to load up, every time, once you’ve selected your scene. You’re better off recording your lines and playing them back manually to be more time effective.

I have used Off Book! Pro for three shows now and it is a lifesaver. The ability for multiple cast members to record their lines on their own devices and then rehearse without having to be at an actual rehearsal is a game changer.

It typically takes me 1-2 hours to drive to an audition. I always wished I could be memorizing my lines while driving. This app allows me to do just that. Extremely convenient and very helpful. Completely worth the small amount of money you pay for it. I definitely recommend this app.

I recently discovered Off Book while working on a play in which I have a lot of lines. And I love the app! The best feature for me is the ability to play back all of my scenes and mute my lines which makes my commute so productive as I'm working on this play. And the developer Steve is extremely responsive to feedback and suggestions. For $0.99 you really can't go wrong. It's worth a lot more than that.

First let me start out by saying This app has been great for our cast and getting our lines quickly for a short rehearsal period. When we had questions, Steve promptly returned emails and helped us out. It is really a great tool in our heavy tech world, to give you a boost on your lines. I would just like to add..... "Steve is just so amazing!" "Nicest guy on the internet!" "Taught me EVERYTHING I know about theatre!" "He should co-star in Zoolander3!!! (he's really,really,really,really,really Good looking. Seriously. The app had me dancing naked on the edge of a volcano. Thanks Steve!!!

If you are in a production you should really consider this app! Due to scheduling conflicts rehearsal time for a recent production was difficult to schedule. We downloaded the app, recorded our lines, and we were able to rehearse anywhere at anytime, even tho we were several states apart! We had a couple of tech issues, only, because I got ahead of myself and didn't watch all of the great video tutorial that had been provided. Take your time. Work together and spend the money for this app. Thank you Steve! OffBookPro is worth the investment of time!
