OffBlock

After two years I am cancelling my subscription. At first OffBlock seemed to be fresh addition to the diverse logbook app market, undeservedly dominated by the two far-from-best solutions. With simple setup and not overcrowded with unnecessary features, it seemed well designed to just do the job and it seemed finally there are developers with a good taste in software design and good understanding of what the real needs of pilots are. Unfortunately the calculation of hours was incorrect from the start and as simple as that, this renders the app unusable. If I still have to spend 2 days with excel to get my books in order before sending them to whoever needs it, then I can do the same without paying for the app. I waited two years and yes, reported multiple times, describing in much detail, I was willing to invest my own time for a good product that everyone would use, just to receive “we are working, everyone is on vacation, we will get back to you soon” type replies, just to observe new and unnecessary “features” roll out with each new update, all equally stupid except for the important stuff. That unveils the sad truth that the app had gone seriously off the rails and the developers are not going into the direction I initially assumed. As a final nail in the coffin - the roster import stopped working for my airline (can be different for you). Again - reported, nothing ever heard back, but the roster import is a deal breaker. Entering all the flight details after every flight manually of course is far from impossible, but also far from what I would expect the app for 56€/y would be capable of doing. This removes half of the functionality reverting back to very basic functions that can be achieved even better with a simple excel sheet, which is my go-ahead at the moment.

Die App ist wirklich übersichtlich, leider braucht die App aber mittlerweile seit gut einem halben Jahr bei jedem Start ca 10 Sekunden bis sich durch den Plan gescrollt werden kann, vorher hängt alles. Updates haben da bisher keine Verbesserung gebracht. Update 24.11.2025: Auch nach mehreren Updates keine Besserung in Sicht. Die App ist mittlerweile nahezu unbenutzbar

Mit mehr als 34 Jahren im Airline Business, habe ich nun das beste Logbuch aller Zeiten gefunden.

Import funktioniert gut, schon bei 3 Airlines getestet (AUA, CLH, DLH). Ich mag besonders die Funktion die Dienstpläne von Freunden anschauen zu können.

Ich habe bereits für Offblock 1 Vollversion bezahlt, dann wieder für Offblock 2, und jetzt soll ich erneut für Offblock 3 zahlen … Wenn alle bezahlt haben, kommt dann Offblock 4, das wieder zahlungspflichtig ist, oder wie?

Der Service ist wirklich schlecht geworden. Keiner geht ans Telefon oder sehr verspätete mails. Geholfen wird einem nicht wirklich. Man hat nur Aufwand mit täglichen Nachrichten schreiben wenn man ein Problem hat. Echt schlecht …

Eigentlich 0/5 Sternen! Man kann seinen Dienstplan nicht importieren, außer man zahlt für ein Abo. Ich habe keine Lust mühselig jeden einzelnen Flug und die dazugehörigen Daten einzeln einzutragen. Es gibt deutlich bessere Apps, die ohne Abo kostenlos Dienstpläne importieren und synchronisieren

Ich nutze OFF Block mit der Auswertung seit 2011 in zwei verschiedenen Airlines. App und Support ist aus meiner Sicht einfach top. Vielen Dank
