Survivalist.AI is an offline AI assistant and chat bot contained entirely on your iPhone or iPad. That means you have access to useful information anywhere you are without the need for internet.
You can use Survivalist.AI while on a plane, at sea, under the ocean, hiking and camping in remote locations, and even in outer space.
Some of the things you can ask the AI chat bot:
• What to do when I get stung by a bee
• Summarize this pasted article
• Give me some bodyweight exercises to do
• Tell me a scary story
• Write me a campfire song
• Give me a recipe for blueberry muffins
• Write me a short resignation letter
• Coding questions like: "give me python code for the fibonnaci sequence"
• Explain the following code...
We are committed to user privacy. Conversations stay private on your device and are not transmitted anywhere. This is a benefit of having an AI virtual assistant and chatbot running on your phone and not in other computer networks.
We carefully curate the Large Language Models (LLMs) that run within the capabilities of your device. These models are trained on billions to trillions of tokens and are extremely processor and memory intensive. As a result, Survivalist.AI works best on the newest iPhones and iPads with 6GB+ of RAM.
Survivalist.AI offline chat bot includes the ability to use the following LLMs:
TinyLlama, Qwen2, Phi-2, Phi-3, Phi-3.5, Ministral 8B, Mistral 8B, Llama 3, Llama 3 Coder, Llama 3.1, Llama 3.1 Coder, Llama 3.2 3B, Gemma 2 2B, Gemma 2 9B, DeepSeek R1
Phi-2 is included in the download as the default AI model.
Llama 3 Coder and Llama 3.1 only run on iPads with 16GB RAM.
If you find the app is unresponsive or very slow, please restart it.

Output that Survivalist.ai generates may not be accurate or true due to limitations of the AI model.

This is a brilliant little app. You can access the power of AI in your pocket without an Internet connection. You choose between different models and it comes with an easy to understand guide to promoting the AI model.

A Handy Digital Swiss Army Knife

Wow!! I’m loving how simple and practical this app is to look up information! Works without issue and always answers my questions thoroughly— the fact that it works offline is what sets it apart. My daughter is always asking me to look up answers for her endless questions about the world and this app is just what we needed for those long car rides and flights without internet. Well made!

Flight AI Companion

Just used it on a flight for work. I’ve been using other models for my regular daily work flow, however I had a deadline that I needed to finish while on a flight and it helped with that. Great app that I can rely on without internet.

Handy

This is the best design I have seen yet for a fully local AI chat app. It is also extremely minimal, which is great because it is easy to pull out your phone and ask it a quick question with no internet connection and have no menus to stumble through. It is quite limited on the number of available models at the moment, but more are supposedly coming soon and the existing ones are great.

Indispensable!

Such a no-brainer. Got a ton of work done on a flight with no internet thanks to this app. Love it.
