When I try install this version without doing the update it puts u back to the (where do you live page) so you go in circles. So annoying.
I hate the upgraded version especially as it now takes moments to log in, takes ages to view your blood pressure history records, takes minutes to load or sometimes crashes a lot. The overall look of the app has taken a step backwards. Before at a glance I could see if my BP was light blue for good or dark for getting high using the calendar view. That view is now gone. The app forced me to update to this version now I wish I didn’t.
Buggy, Ugly and Sometimes Works
The old app used to be simple and worked well. The new one is terrible, it looks clunky and dated. I have tried to use for some time now with constant pairing issues and it rarely syncs data from my multiple OMRON devices. I just want to track my stats, why make it so bloody difficult with all this upsell and garbage. Definitely won’t be buying any more OMRON devices.
Fantastic App
Is a fantastic app, so much better than the new “Omron Connect USA” and this doesn’t even work anymore, the new one is so bad it’s laughable. Look else where for health care equipment and apps, omron just seem to be going down the milk the customer route with a subscription model, £8.49 a month for my own data? Really? How stupid do you think people are. Good luck with that.
Do not update software
Very happy with blood pressure monitor and VIVA scales until the software downgrade a few months ago. Now unable to download data from either, wasted hours trying to get the devices to sync
No stars
Very very disappointed with omron!!!
I treated myself to an X7 as my husband has atrial fibrillation and bp and I’ve had bp for years and regularly send readings to my doctor. The X7 and app were great as I have set up for separate readings for my husband and myself at the flick of a switch.
I was so impressed I took it to my doctors and showed how easy it has been to take readings and then forward the readings to them, they too were impressed but all I get now is omron asking to update to new app!!!
Which you have to pay for!!!!! And then a subscription!!!!!
I don’t want this!!! Now when I open my omron app it will not let me look at my readings it just tells you about the new app!!!
Is there a way around this or have I just wasted money on something that’s backed me into a corner for a subscription??? Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way I can carry on with my older version of the app?? Please advice
Syncing
Unfortunately I had to upgrade to the new app some weeks ago. The syncing, as reported by other users, is really poor and very challenging. Omron really ought to get this sorted, particularly how often they seem to send out pointless updates
Older app better than newer version
A good older version that worked well, unlike the forced upgrade to the newer version which is difficult to synchronise every time it is used.
New version big step backwards
As others have said, the forced update in the past few months has ruined this app. Everything seems worse…
- worse graphs, less intuitive
- update from devices fails more often
- logging in seems worse/slower fails often
- navigation, view and useability worse (personal preference)
+ they can now sell you “premium” version
Devices are expensive enough. If I could get my money back for them I would now that this app is so bad.
Dreadful
The new app is dreadful and I’ve lost all my old data that
I was carefully collecting for my next medical appointment. I can add it manually but there's a lot and what is the point of having to do that? I'm really really frustrated. Omron…please get your act together.
Kidnapped again on “update”!!!
The latest update to v6.11 (22Mar’22) AGAIN seems to FORCE an upgrade to that HORRENDOUS v7 (US/CAN/ECMA) !!!
I don’t know whether there is a way back this time.
