App & Website Limit, Blocker

Veröffentlicht von: riedel.wtf apps S.L

Beschreibung

In contrast to Screen Time, one sec delays access to apps and websites instead of blocking them completely – this is fundamentally different than any other screen time tool you’ve tried before!
Have you tried a digital detox? And it did not work, because you fall back into your habits immediately?
Well here is the solution:
one sec solves our unhealthy phone relationship at its roots: by making distracting apps less appealing, our brains lose interest to open them all the time without proper intention.
The effectiveness of one sec has been confirmed in a peer-reviewed scientific study with the Max-Planck Institute and Heidelberg University: app usage drops by 57% on average! Long-term!
Fight the social media algorithms and win back control over your phone usage & your subconsciousness!
“one sec” uses Shortcuts Automation to toggle a deep breath animation whenever you open one of the configured apps (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube…). This breaks unconcious social media habits short-term (literally, as soon as you have set it up) and even helps long-term by adding more friction when opening these apps.
Did you really want to open Instagram? Or was it just because you're bored waiting for your bus?
This app helps you to reflect your actions, thoughts, and feelings; disrupting harmful social media habits with mindfulness.
On top of that, “one sec” also contributes your mindful moments to the Health App via HealthKit.
Especially for people with ADHD one sec is a great tool to gain back control for incredible focus and concentration.
Integrations and collabs:
- You can set up one sec to sync tasks with Structured, so you won't be able to access social media apps during ongoing unfinished tasks.
- You can set up one sec to learn a new language with LENGO, so every time you open social media, you have to answer a handful of vocabularies.

Perfect screen time reminders.

Worthless

Worthless when you can easily delete the app and gain access to everything again. Forever lock means nothing.

So i used One Sec, I thought like i will be able to like use an app for like 30 minutes then it would tell me to take a break. But that’s not true. And when I clicked block I thought it would block me going in the app. The app did the exact opposite. For the rest I guess it’s okay. But I suggest to get a different app. AND I DON’T PAY FOR APPS !!!!!!!!!!!

A pop-up screen so annoying that it makes me hate this app

No, I’m not interested in “redeeming a free week.” I tried “setting up the app for 5 minutes,” an I’m still getting the annoying pop-up telling me to do the exact same thing when I open the app…over and over again. It’s so frustrating— just leave me alone and let me use the app for free. Maybe I’d rate it more highly if this were fixed. It’s just another lame gimmick attempt of a cash grab…

It does the job.

I’ve been using this app for about 3 months and it does the mf job. This app has made using instagram (and any other app if I click away too fast to avoid the loading screen) a HUGE inconvenience to open. I would rather do my college homework, touch grass, try hard drugs, or find the cure to cancer than wait for the dumb loading screen to boot up and give me time to “breathe”. So far I’ve saved 2 days of my life from instagrams parasitic grasp. Bravo!

Over 40 hours a week to under 28! That’s a part time job!

I bought One Sec at the beginning of the year and it’s given me the support I’ve needed to steadily decrease my social media usage. It’s also helped me reframe my social media usage and take pause. I love all the features, even if it is a bit of a process to fully customize everything (probably more on apple’s ios architecture and permissions than OneSec). Do it do it do it! 20$ a year is literally 5cents a day, a nickel a day!! I will gladly pay a nickel to save 2 hours of my time daily

FREE TRIAL IS A LIE

I genuinely wanted to try this app because of Ali Abdaal. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to purchase yet but I thought I might if I liked it after the “free” trial. Was immediately charged exactly $20.81 IMMEDIATELY the same day I downloaded the app and selected the “FREE TRAIL”!!!! I WILL be reaching out to Apple to get a refund. Sad I was actually excited to use the app now I’ll just be deleting it.

Slow updates, morning journal broken with no way around

Bwt615 on

Horrible guardrailing against apple glitches. Morning journal will randomly appear throughout the day. The ‘reset screen time API’ switch is buried deep in the settings, making it unnecessarily difficult to find. It would make way too much sense to include a deep link to this or at least present the option when opening the app after an intervention. The recovery process is a nightmare, and app glitches become even more frustrating because of it. Fix this, and maybe it could be usable, but right now it’s painful.

Charged me $55?!

Ariya Kay on

Vereinigte Staaten

I just download this app and while setting it up it asked if you want to try a free trial for one year for $19.99 with one week free, so I continued, and I immediately saw a $54 charge from Apple for this app. I’m now having to dispute discharge because I definitely did not sign up for any $54 plan. Be careful when signing up. I’m so confused because I didn’t even see any $54 plan option.
