Ooma Home Phone

Have had for more than eight years. It continually gets better and more robust. Love retaining my number when we moved and also could have a local number too, all ringing one phone. Having it ring simultaneously on your cell means you never have to give merchants your cell phone number. It would take a novel to write about all of Ooma advantages, just get it and discover how it will make communication better for you

Thank you for improving your service. We have been using it for years and you have perfected your system. Now my calls don’t drop.

We’ve been using Ooma for about a decade now. The app is set up with our work number, so I can call customers from home without giving them my personal cell number on caller ID or blocking the number.

This is home phone, it says so right in the name. But it craps up your iPhone call logs and contacts. Some settings don't have a clear meaning. Caller ID doesn't show on app ring (it only shows the number). Can't block names with punctuation, but that's what caller id shows. Can't block from voicemail. Doesn't support multiple people in household. Mostly just says "something went wrong". Can't manage subscription online, requires a phone call. -- I used nomorobo for years successfully, but the ooma implementation seems to miss everything. -- Have to keep the mobile app, though, because the website doesn't show calls that don't ring, a call to support told me that is intended behavior. -- Customer support is patronizing.

2nd Review Still needs improvement, but the $15.xx per month is worth it. Got it in 2014 for a trip to Australia to be able to use the hotel’s wifi to keep in touch while traveling. I wish the interaction with the wifi signal was better / more reliable, but it’s cheap and serves a purpose.

I’m pretty peeved the new update took away the option to not allow voicemails as that gives people the opportunity to call and leave them after hours which adds to the work load the next business day. We have strict boundaries about opening and closing hours and this now takes that boundary away.

I love this app. My hearing has become worse as I have grown older. With this app I can make calls and hear people better with my Apple earbuds plugged into my iPad. Thanks!

Ooma continues to improve and update their services and APPS. That is what is most important to me! I know they are working to provide a great phone service. Thanks!, Ooma!

This app has never been a reliable application. Dropped calls, no sound, ransoms disconnects, and even the “contact ooma” doesn’t work asking to setup email when email is setup. It’s always a 50/50 chance of your call will go and stay on. I’ve also been trying to make calls when the app doesn’t even do anything and cancels what I’ve tried to do. It’s a shame because their phone service is excellent but this… atrocious.

Almost all the time the voice is very clear. The service is very good.
