Nice app to include on your apps catalogue
Great app! Love it.
It’s really the best app so far it’s save the time I would waste on social media platforms but I was wondering if you guys can atleast leave option for selected apps only I’m on free version I don’t know wether that works on subscriptions only
I have managed to focus on more important things in my life than wasting a lot of time on social media
I’m on the free version, and I think this is worth paying for, get that deep work in and your phone is basically not a distraction. I wonder if there’s a way to add like some sort of accountability feature, where apps can locked and only your accountability partner can unlock them for you after you’ve done your work.
I love the idea of this app and what it does but the app itself keeps crashing and there are clearly some bugs within the app. Things don’t load/update properly, if I press something the app will crash, or the little games (specifically the connection game) does not work. These things need to be fixed before I can fully give it 5 stars
I’ve been using opal for months now and up until recently it’s worked great. However in the past few weeks the app has started 1. Bricking my phone to the point where restarting with the volume and power buttons doesn’t even work 2. Time limits don’t work anymore / aren’t enforced by the app 3. Running way too many ads 4. Running scam ads. I’ve had ad popups that said “your phone has a virus” etc. Overall terrible app now and is unusable. Also is too complicated - who cares about gems at all? We don’t need to be rewarded for NOT using instagram…
My screen time was once at an average of 5-6 hours weekly, I was sooo addicted to my phone. I tried so many different techniques to try to cut down my screen time, I even tried apples screen time limits, long story short I’d ignore the warnings and I’d keep scrolling. I kept seeing this app being advertised so I tried it. My average screen time is now cut down to 48 minutes daily, so there’s been a huge change. I love how this app is free to use so anyone can hit their goals, I also love that it doesn’t give you the option when it cuts you off to ignore the limit. Great app, and this is coming from a teenager who was majorly addicted to the cheap dopamine of endless scrolling.
Been using it for a week now and just have the free version. I see no need in paying for it when you can set your blockage up for 24 hrs. I just take a few breaks throughout the day when I want to use facebook. I’ve definitely noticed that I’m less likely to be on my phone.
If you are serious about cutting down screen time, give this app a go. It’s the only thing that I have tried that has worked. Once Opal locks you out of the apps, you select, you will move onto something else. I have found that it also increases my awareness around just how much time I’m spending in front of a screen, which has been helpful for me to make certain adjustments.
